Cupar box interior looking North towards Leuchars. Very tidy and containing a 32 lever frame. The train describer screen can be seen to the left of the big grey box on the block shelf.
Any info on the frame would be appreciated.
The height of the British summer,18th July 2012, saw me and my eldest set off from Nottingham for an Everton pre-season friendly at Dundee. What could go wrong ? Bhy the time we got to Edinburgh at lunch time the evening fixture had already been called off due to a waterlogged pitch !
I had arranged to visit my ex signal school colleague at Tay Bridge South where he was working the afternoon turn so I carried on regardless and pulled in two other boxes on the way.
These are the very grey images from that afternoon.
A presentation box for a canteen of cutlery, hand made from English Cherry with a book-matched Yew burr veneer on the top of the lid.
The slots to receive the cutlery were hand cut from plywood and upholstered in felt.
I used Brusso quadrant hinges to enable the lid to remain open at 90 degrees. To maintain clean lines on the box exterior, I used magnets to hold the box closed and created small dimples to assist opening.
The interior is finished with hard wax oil while the exterior is French polished with shellac.

Flat 20-sided tato box by......me?
Not innovative or useful really, but not bad for somebody who knows neither math nor origami and made this from scratch in Photoshop.
The flaps don't really form a nice circle in the center and there's that hole, so does that mean I should try shaving 1mm off the radius or learn to fold better?
CP for pointing out flaws, or storing a flat cookie if you have (the collapsed center touches the base, so spread your Florentine out VERY thin).
I was as intrigued with the gift box almost as much as the graduated filter it enclosed.
My mother in law made the box and it was too good to throw away.

I took a week-long intensive class in art therapy. Here are parts of a project we did: Create a self-box that says something about who you and where you are in your life. I chose to make a Beauty Box, to remind me that I'm beautiful on the inside, which is more important than external beauty. Inside I wrote some notes about my strengths.
The drawer slides on strips of felt glued (out of sight) to the inside bottom and sides of the box carcass. This 9" x 6" x 3" “executive desktop box” is my first attempt at a “bandsaw box”. Sandwiched between a walnut front and back are laminated layers of pine and plywood. (I didn’t want to risk expensive exotic woods on my first attempt!) Six coats of boiled linseed oil were followed by four coats of wiping varnish (polyurethane plus boiled linseed oil). Finally, two coats of microcrystalline wax were applied. The box was handcrafted as a Christmas gift to my son who helped me move my new (and heavy) bandsaw into the basement.

Worksop Goods Yard signal box was located by the Up Main line alongside Gateford Road underbridge, and was a Manchester Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway type 1 design which opened in 1874. The signal box was renamed Worksop West circa.1897 and a replacement 27 lever Great Central Railway frame was fitted circa.1928. The frame was extended to 28 levers prior to closure on 25th April 1998 when control passed to Worksop signal box
We (my sister, my daughter, and I) made this valentine box for my daughter for school. We used a box , toilet paper rollers, paper cones. Covered with colored paper and stickers. Cut a door out and attached ribbon and velcro to hole the door closed. Would also be good for a little girls bday party. Leave a comment and tell us what you think. Thanks!

The red telephone box, a telephone kiosk for a public telephone designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, was a familiar sight on the streets of the United Kingdom. This one however was found along side the Jewel Golf Course, Mackinac Island, MI

I bought a Little Monica "little harmony body" for my Minisup head. The resin match is not perfect, but the size is! I'm so relieved I did'n need to buy a mnf body for this head :)
Typical storage boxes contain your items, but the inside becomes cluttered – making it difficult to find what you need. Rubbermaid’s Bento collection is designed to organize items, rather than just store them. The Bento Boxes have internal flex dividers, which enable you to divide the space by creating unique sections when needed. Boxes can stack vertically, or fit inside each other. Bento Trays can act as trays or covers, providing an extra layer of organization for the Bento Boxes, or hiding what’s inside. The Bento Collection is made from sturdy materials, and the heavy-duty decorative fabric enables it to remain out in your social spaces while complementing your home’s décor.

As told by Kristen - the Teacher
I am a college student in an education program and have been working in a second grade classroom in Rochester, NY. The students and I feel very strongly about helping those in need. We came across this site one day during a study of Africa and the kids instantly became eager to help. We have collected the following supplies: Pens/Pencils, Markers/Crayons/Colored Pencils/Paints, Construction Paper, Scissors/Glue/Tape/Staplers, Notebooks/Folders/Filler Paper, Classroom Decorations, Learning Flashcards, Pencil Cases, and other various supplies.
This is a photo of my class and the box of supplies they have collected. So glad we could help!
