I've photographed this wooden box from Zanzibar before. It's hand carved with a lovely almost raw texture. I've been really liking the way the lamp lights objects on the living room table with a dark and moody feel, so I've decided to photograph it once again.

After having added several Box Cameras to my Zeiss Ikon Voigtlander collection recently, I thought it prudent of me to update the family portrait. All are in excellent cosmetic and operational condition.

Sometimes we lose context in our critiques and judge these vintage cameras like they are new models on the shelf. It shouldn’t matter now what the comparisons were between them 50 to a 100 years ago, or how they may compare to cameras made today. Now they are all beautiful collector items and an important part of history!

Some junction boxes along the old New York Ontario and Western Railroad main line near where it once crossed the Erie's Montgomery branch and Maybrook spur. The O&W shut down in 1957.

My wife's sewing box. When we first met she used to make her own dresses but latterly she mostly did cross-stitch embroidery. Now, I occasionally use a needle and thread to sew on the odd button.

Definitely a sign of the times

Very good Pop-Tarts if I must say so myself. I was messing around with the Optimize Image menu on my camera and set it to Custom. I tried to get the colors as vibrant as I could.

For Inner Monster, this is in order, I guess xDDD

Game of Thrones has re-started and my partner and I love to cosy up on the sofa together and admire the costumes. Shame it will be a long wait as we don't have satellite, just have to wait patiently for the box set.

I found this box of matches with only one unused match. So I took a photo of it and played a little with Photoshop.
