Bad Schandau eastern station end. A 2-system class 372 of CSD has entered the station, running light from Decin, and places itself before the multimodal which has been brought by ITL to Bad Schandau.
It is remarkable that CSD cooperates whith german private operators. I did not see the opposite: A Czech private operator which cooperates with DB-Schenker.

Peace Arch Park Border Crossing between Canada and USA.
A delegation from Western Canada to the IFCO/Pastors for Peace Cuba Caravan successfully entered the US.
Lydia and I wait in line at the Peace Arch border crossing and take pictures.

Jesenice with a IC coming from Villach, ready for departure to Ljubjlana. The Slovenian 3-system 541 is through-running from Austria to Slovenia.
Jesenice does not have tracks with switcheable overhead. Electric locomotives coming from Austria enter the station tracks with pantographs down.

Ascending a long valley towards a "jailoo" or alpine pasture in the Alai region of southern Kyrgyzstan.
From the small village of Juluu-suu, we trekked for three hours up a long valley to a mountaintop pasture. It was the first day of my six-day horsetrek through the Gulcha River Valley and Alai Valley in southern Kyrgyzstan to the Irkeshtam Pass and bordercrossing to China.

They are waiting to be registered as refugees in Chad.
