Managed to capture this aerial shot of the Bootleg Fire in Southern Oregon, about 8 hours after the fire started. Two days later this fire has now burned nearly 17,000 acres and is only 1% contained.
Coming directly on the heels of a historic drought in California and the worst heatwave in recorded history across the Pacific Northwest, this is one of several massive wildfires raging up and down the west coast and is likely just a small preview of what we can expect for the remainder of the summer (and every summer for the rest of our lives in this neoliberal capitalist hellscape).
I bought this bootleg figure alons some more from internet for few bucks. I am not that fond of bootlegs but I wanted to see them personally and I have to say I am quite impressed with quality of these. Only noticable differences from lego are shatp shoulders, hips, hands and quality of both plastic and print.
Here are both of my Bootleg Archetype He figma guys painted up. Definitely the smallest customs I’ve painted so far. After buying the flesh tone version and painting him up I decided he should get a boyfriend but I wasn’t willing to pay any more than like… $15 so I chose the grey version that was offered.
Unfortunately the grey one has two right feet but the price was small enough that I didn’t really care.
Since I wanted this guy to look as different as possible I sculpted some hair and tried painting an expression that was completely different to my first one while working with the pouty face sculpt.
I’m pretty happy for two little buff figures that pose like champs.

So far the only part of the set I've built other than the Minifigs. Overall it's not bad, though the wavy pieces are rather interesting. Very, very stiff plastic, also the middle one is near impossible to remove once stuck into the bootleg connector.
You'll also notice some changes from the official/bootleg build. These were my doing, and use official LEGO pieces.
Also set didn't include trans-neon green chains, but gold chains of all colors... so instead opted to just go without the chains.
Will upload pictures of the boat once I finish it.
What do you mean you lost one?
There were four of them packaged when we left port, and then three when we got here.
Well there's only five people who have the container code to open the doors, and you're one of them.
I'm telling you man, I don't know anything.
For all I know somebody on board is sitting on a few million dollars worth of machinery.
Sir, if somebody stole one, it's long gone by now.
Why do you say that?
You know the charters. If there's one place to dump a million dollar war machine, it's in East Africa. I wouldn't doubt if some stoned war lord is showing off his new pet right about now.
Somebody will have to pay for the damages.
Like I said sir, I don't know anything. Don't worry though, you'll catch the poor bastard. You'll find him on South Beach in his new Ferrari next week. He may have been smart enough to steal it, but he's not a rocket scientist, just a common thug.
You better hope so, for your sake.
Am I doing this 'koma thing right?
Editing sucks but I'll change that later.

Ninety years ago the infamous bootlegger/Olympic footballer Algoth Niska had his headquarters at the Lillgården farm house at the old village in Tyresta. He spent several years in prison, both in Sweden and Finland. In 1938 he began smuggling Jewish refugees out of Germany to Finland. He died in 1953 from a brain tumour.

I usually drive past this place and have told myself to stop if I ever find it open to go in....so finally, it happened. Made friends too!
Union Pacific’s Potash Turn heads north into Bootlegger Canyon on the afternoon of May 12, 2006. This train normally operates in the morning, so this late afternoon departure is rare. Corona Arch is huge, having an opening that is 105 feet high and 140 feet wide. Yes, this is the same train as the previous two photos. I scampered (ran) across the slick rock to capture this additional angle of the train with Corona Arch and Bootlegger Canyon. The lead locomotive is an ex-SP SD40.
We failed to find the 'mega shot' in Bootlegger Canyon but made do with this. Still beats the Hope Valley!
Again the orange Snow trooper looks
kind of cool . Because he is so wrong !
But the face paint apps on the Snow Troopers ruins them ! How about those blue legs on R5 ! ? Ha ha ha, sooo bad !

I decided to buy these obvious knock offs of the Figma Archetypes figures mostly cuz I thought I could save on shipping if I bought it with my Coomodel body. Unsurprisingly these were sent separately and for about a week languished in the same facility for no real reason lol.
I paid about $10 each, which is pretty alright considering the actual products go for $80 AUD from Japan now due to the limited production runs heh.
And for about $10, the quality is pretty good. My only real quibble is that some joints are put in backwards, and you need to gently work out each joint and trim off some flash but otherwise the joints are snug and the range of motion is pretty good especially if you want these as artists models.
Though they’re super shrimpy among my other 1/12 scale figures. I planned to put my Makoto’s option head on the male body but it’s too stocky and short, while the female body is even shorter than my Picco Neemo S body.
I might just customize the male body while I mightttt put this Sailor Moon figurine head on the female body but who knows…
Union Pacific's Potash local rolls downgrade after exiting Bootlegger Canyon near Moab, Utah on September 29, 2013.
Overall, not a bad wave of sets. Lots of new recolors and some commendable prints. Ones are at least more sturdy than the 2008 joints. Not to mention the heads are far more entertaining than the heads LEGO themselves produced for the Superhero constraction line.
The first in what will hopefully be a series of bootleg toys I wish existed.
This is also my submission to Planet-Pulp's Star Wars themed month!
I love bootleg toys.
Another miss-mash of recent bootleg acquisitions. From the far left is Supreme, this a Pogo copy of an Onlinesailin custom design. Where Onlinesailin's was a digital print (very good quality), this bootleg is a nice and clean pad print. I replaced the hair with real Lego and added a better, blue cape. Next is an update to my Shen Yuan Ant-man from way back. I had originally given him blue hands and underwear, but now switched that out for Lego's Mr Incredible legs and black hands. Next to him is Xinh's Giant-man (XH235). The red plastic is a little bright, but this print turned out pretty good. Last, on the right is Xinh's She-Hulk - a direct copy of Onlinesailin's design. This turned out pretty good, but now we know Lego has an official version coming out in early 2017.
