Denver in Colorado is volop in ontwikkeling. Stadsvernieuwing en stadsuitbreiding worden in hoog tempo gerealiseerd. De indrukwekkende moderne skyline van "the Mile-High City" getuigt van die ontwikkelingen. Sinds 1994 is er een inmiddels 76 kilometer lang sneltramnet aangelegd dat aan de ontwikkeling van de stad heeft bijgedragen. Op zes sneltramlijnen doen anno 2016 maar liefst 172 Siemens SD-100 motorwagens dienst.
Omdat Denver precies een mijl boven zeeniveau ligt is de bijnaam van de stad "the Mile-High City".

Where did March go? I suddenly realized that tomorrow is April 1st and I hadn't gotten Boomer's photo for the month. So a last minute photo of a very reluctant model. He'd been doing so much better, tolerating the camera, etc, but tonight he wanted no part of it. You can tell he was nervous about it by the drop of drool on his lip on the left.

Here's a little glimpse of what we saw watching Germany compete in the Sound of Light Fireworks competition at the Casino du Lac-Leamy. The best part was we watched the competition from the comfort of our Hotel Suite. The evening was incredible..I've never seen fireworks like this before..Ooohhhhhh Ahhhhh ;) lol Enjoy!!

The Annapolis fireworks were fantastic this year. The fireworks are shot off next to the U.S. Naval Academy. There was lots of oohs and ahhs this Independence Day!

A shot from the avalanche slopes above Boom Lake as my dad and I plodded up Mount Bell. I felt like every time I wanted to take some flower photos the sun would go behind a massive cloud that wasn't worth waiting for. The colours of the hillside really "popped" in the sun. I love how Boom Lake has a cool deep blue colour fringed with cyan-green shores.
Bridalveil Falls was partially frozen when we were there. Despite a cold 18 F/-8 C, the ice was thawing in places and making these thunderous booms as it fell. Pretty cool. Yosemite National Park.
