Vanmiddag gewandeld in het Solleveld (wandelkaart verplicht). Deze solitaire den moet ik altijd fotograferen als ik hier langsloop.

Taken for the Macro Monday's theme of 'Brush'
I had to use one of my best make up brushes for this shot!!!
The brush was loaded with orange and blue glitter plus a good dollop of pink holi powder. A rocket air blower was used to eject the powder/glitter from the brush. Two YN560IV's both set to 1/128 @ 105mm were used to light the brush. One placed directly behind the brush and one at right angles to light the ejection.

An oldie but a goodie that I had forgotten about. After a heavy snowfall, M420W 3500 was sent through Alpena to keep the line clear. Here, the unit hits a drift along the 10th Ave. semi-street running. The unit was scrapped in 2011. Alpena, MI.
Boom, take that! Caroline Wozniacki from her very last appearance at the ASB Classic here in Auckland early 2020. Thanks heaps for many hours of intense and entertaining tennis over the years. Sadly now retired but leaving her fans with many great memories.
Boomer Bay in Tasmania is home to this little boat shed. Not as famous as the WA Crawley Boat Shed, but still a nice photographic location.

Denver in Colorado is volop in ontwikkeling. Stadsvernieuwing en stadsuitbreiding worden in hoog tempo gerealiseerd. De indrukwekkende moderne skyline van "the Mile-High City" getuigt van die ontwikkelingen. Sinds 1994 is er een inmiddels 76 kilometer lang sneltramnet aangelegd dat aan de ontwikkeling van de stad heeft bijgedragen. Op zes sneltramlijnen doen anno 2016 maar liefst 172 Siemens SD-100 motorwagens dienst.
Omdat Denver precies een mijl boven zeeniveau ligt is de bijnaam van de stad "the Mile-High City".

Where did March go? I suddenly realized that tomorrow is April 1st and I hadn't gotten Boomer's photo for the month. So a last minute photo of a very reluctant model. He'd been doing so much better, tolerating the camera, etc, but tonight he wanted no part of it. You can tell he was nervous about it by the drop of drool on his lip on the left.
New Zealand has a varied and diverse landscape from mountain ranges to stunning beaches. All though this looks like a scene from another planet it's a Glacial lake, Tasman Lake where large chunks of glacial ice as big as buses shear of the mountain side making a noise as loud as a sonic boom and tumble down into this lake where they eventually break up and are washed down through a river.
The Annapolis fireworks were fantastic this year. The fireworks are shot off next to the U.S. Naval Academy. There was lots of oohs and ahhs this Independence Day!
