At the jury meeting of the Walter Tiemann Prize, in the venerable composing room of the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig. It was a honour and pleasure to work with the five jurors, and to take a close look at all these outstanding book designs. Thanks to all who have submitted their work. The award ceremony will take place during the Leipzig book fair in March 2012.

Essie is a combination biography, art showcase and cookbook. Yes, that’s quite a lot to put in one 240 page 8 x 10 book. However, our client wished to share her legacy with her children and grandchildren, starting with a biography of her life. The next chapter is a showcase of her sculptures and paintings and finally some of her cherished family recipes.
