Second compilation of past works.
One big undertaking at the moment. Reviewing works from 2010 to today. Setting each one of selected ones in a frame. Square format. Destined for frontispieces (books, notebooks, diaries, scrapbooks etc).
. . . . I had a conversation today with a good flickr friend about the paths that one's life takes, and are they ever just straight lines or do they often diverge. . . . .
. . . . i was reminded of this title page, one of 5 such pages in the 1943 edition of Frank Lloyd Wright's autobiography. . . . in the first section on family, Wright talks about how, as a small child, he would spend time working on his Welsh uncle's farm in Wisconsin. . . . . he recalls walking with Uncle John across a field covered with freshly fallen snow. . . . . at one point he looks back and can see Uncle John's straight path of footprints while his boyish footprints wandered back and forth as he explored the weeds and rocks in the field. . . .

私は自分の「その日」を、どのような形で迎えるのであろうか。
九十九歳とは何と長い、そして何と短い時間であっただろう。
百歳近く生きつづけて、最も大切なことは、自分の生きざまの終りを見とどけることだけであった。
戦争も、引揚げも、おおよその昔、一通りの苦労は人並にしてきたが、そんな苦労は、九十九年生きた果には、たいしたこととも思えない。
生きた喜びというものもまた、身に残された資産や、受けた栄誉ではなく、心の奥深くにひとりで感得してきた、ほのかな愛の記憶だけかもしれない。
結局、人は、人を愛するために、愛されるために、この世に送り出されたのだと最期に信じる。
充分、いや、十二分に私はこの世を生き通してきた。

Indian Lyricist/Poet Gulzar's selected poetry book "SILENCES" was the book published in 2012 from Rupa Publications, cover designed beautifully by Mugdha Sadhwani with one of my past Photograph.
I thought I've posted this beautiful book cover long time ago, but I think I haven't.

Life is a journey.
It is very short and
Each of us only gets to make this journey once.
As we journey through our lives,
We all take separate paths.
Sometimes they’re filled with sorrow,
Other times they’re full of laughs.
There’s no exact destination,
We just follow where it goes.
We travel until our journey ends,
When that is, nobody knows.
We all make big decisions,
As to different roads we’ll take.
We all learn from accomplishments,
And mistakes that we will make.
What will lie ahead of us?
No one can make that call.
But we all need someone with us,
To pick us up, after we fall.
In life our paths will cross,
We won’t always be alone.
We’ve seen what’s behind us,
But our future remains unknown.
Life's journey is filled with choices.
Whatever choices we have made,
We should be responsible, calm and even brave
When facing the results brought by our own choices.
