When your cat is sleeping on your favorite book—which you were planning to read—there’s only one thing to do: watch TV.

Annibel was doing a shot while a group of us hung out, and I really liked her concept, so I decided to shoot my own copy of it.

The macro monday theme for 2/1 is safety. i really wanted to use this clever 'altered book' but no matter how i changed the angle and cropped it, it was still too big to fit the MM size (3") parameters. (see the first comment box for a view of the full interior carved out space.) Found this at stARTs, a street art fair in worcester a number of years ago. It was pricey but so cool, i had to buy it for a dear one.
UP's potash local, the LDG51B, meanders towards Moab and away from the DRGW main with Utah's famous Book Cliffs standing tall on the horizon.

It's available in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa at the moment. My publishers are looking to potentially open distribution deals with the UK and US, too. But that will come later (they're tight markets to pull from this little corner of the world!).
It can be purchased, as far as I know, from here, in the meantime.
It was only launched at the end of last month. It is based on my diaries. It has recently been endorsed by the Eating Disorders Foundation of Australia.
I am still a little sensitive about the title and cover. I chose neither.
Open book with light painting over it. Simple setup, I just triggered the flash at the beginning of a three seconds exposure and then painted over the book with a small light. Strobe : 1 * 1/64 over the book, triggered by cactus, at the beginning of a three seconds exposure.

Yesterday sitting and having breakfast and watching the birds. Seeing a few we have no clue. We look in the bird book and sometimes we get them right but most of the time I have to write my favorite bird girlfriend and she helps us out. Which we really appreciate Eileen!! :)
