Lovely little plant growing from a tree. I enjoyed the light behind it and decided to photograph it. I got some nice bokeh in the background as well. Plants are almost my favorite thing to photograph(: I also used the technique "free- lensing" for this shot.

when I am up to my elbows in work and under a lot of pressure because lots of things need to be done - what do I do? I bake. yes, I know it does not make any sense but that is what I do. maybe it is the wonderful smell throughout the house or the extra sugar that gives me the energy to finish whatever else I have to do. I don't know really but it does work. have you ever tried it? or what do you do when you are drowning in work?

My Old Backyard - St. Andrews, NB

I read an article about creating interesting bokeh using pieces of card with shapes cut out and placing it in front of the lens. This was my first attempt, now I need to stretch myself and try it with something in the foreground. I'm not even sure I've quite got the technique quite right.

Just playing around with my old manual f1.7 50mm lens. Although I did miss the focus on the tip a little I still like the DOF. Would much rather take some landscapes, but I'm stuck in the city so this will have to do.
