Yes, its face is green not blue. It is an immature but fully grown Entomyzon cyanotis, spotlighted waiting in the queue for the nearby Grevillea which is a popular source of nectar for its extended family and numerous other honeyeaters which frequent my garden.
The Double-eyed Fig Parrot, Cyclopsitta diophthalma, is the smallest of Australia's parrots. I was thrilled with this sighting as it's my first of this speices and was seen in Atherton, far north Queensland, Australia.

Another new bird for me... the Blue-faced Honeyeater was keenly interested in any food scraps for its demanding young...

Found on the streets of Athens, Greece near the Acropolis. I had to stand in a certain spot to get the illusion of her face to come together. Do you see it? The face is painted on two different facing walls. If I were to have moved, her face would not line up. It's genius artwork. Signed by Achilles. I Love it! Was a at a caravan park and they feed the birds every evening. It was a lot of fun watching the Blue-faced honeyeaters.
Apologies for image quality - taken in very low light on Mt. Lewis, Queensland. Only found within Australia in Far North Queensland Wet Tropics.

Didn't see too many of these birds around this summer.

COVID-19 (CORONA VIRUS)
TO EVERYONE OUT THERE, PLEASE TAKE CARE AND BE SAFE.
With the COVID-19 (coronavirus) now rampant here and in most countries I am spending all my time at home and fortunately have plenty of birds coming to visit due to our bird friendly and flower garden.

Juvenile Blue-Faced Honeyeater finds that its face is still that yellowy-green shade. One of those shots where I could hear that there was some bird drinking but couldn't see it until I swivelled the camera through 45* to the right as I was down behind the screen. Right at the minimum possible distance here , within a cm or 2.

Back to work tomorrow… I have had a brilliant Christmas break. All good things must come to an end (for a while).
Loads of work for our studio to do in January and February. I'll be busy, so it might mean a few iPhone self portraits will be filling my 365 on busier days. I'll try and keep them interesting though.
