The valleys were full of fog this morning — before it rained — on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Mills River Valley Overlook. It's southwest of Asheville, just before you get to Mt. Pisgah.

Polymer clay blue heart pendant made using leaf canes.

Four strand necklace is made of various size glass beads in black, hematite and blue. Some hematite chips and stone chips are also used to give some dimension to the necklace.

I am really pleased with it. :)

Glad to be getting out and about now.

It's nice to stop and look at the flowers !

Nesting time for the local Blue Tits in Dorset UK

Loved the blue color of these, especially with the splashes of yellow pollen...:)

Blue Moon Iced Coffee Blonde

Finally melting after being so cold. Shot with my new flash that supports high speed sync.

I wish the drop was a bit sharper but otherwise I was happy with how it turned out.

I made another Belladone!

I'm not sure whether this is a Small Blue or a Holly Blue. The black shading on the Wings makes me think it could e a Holly Blue. It was taken on the Scilly Isles.

I've now been told it is a Holly Blue - first time I've seen one.

Late afternoon on Bluff Lake at the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge.

This is straight out of the camera, except for the removal of one small spot of lens flare that really annoyed me.

This was taken at 1/3200 to keep the sun under control. The camera white balance was set to "Tungsten", which boosted the blue hues. (But the blue was done in-camera, not in Photoshop).

Taken in Douglas, Isle of Man.

Taipei 101, currently the second-largest (and in my opinion: most beautiful) skyscraper in the world. It houses the fastest-ascending elevators in the world.

Photo taken using the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens and Olympus PEN E-PL1 camera.

See where this picture was taken. [?]

Close up of this lovely shade of blue

This Blue Heron has come to the pond right across my house for a couple of days in a row now. Always on the same spot. Could not resist and had to take a picture ... beautiful bird !

Anemone, Windröschen.

A wonderful blue Anemone, almost still a bud. I love the structure of the petals and special the marginal hairs.

Did you know that the word Anemone means "daughter of the wind"?

Since my back went out promptly 11 days ago, I've been out of the action, therefore feeling a bit . . . . blue. I must say I miss it, really.

My LEGO collection spans my entire lifetime and then some. I have bricks that are brand new, and some that are over 30 years old (I have bricks that are older than that, but I keep them separate, and don't build with them.) Broken and worn out bits are expected. The 4x6 plate on the right is vintage classic space, and thought it was worth a picture before I tossed it in the trash. It was a good run my friend, see you in the brick pile on the other side!

an old shot, messing with camera settings. no photoshop just my canon powershot, oh beautiful thing
