tiny blue flowers (I'll put down their name as soon as I find out) out in the garden. Very tiny, like half a centimeter per flower. I found them really cute...
Yesterday, I drove 650 Texas miles in about ten hours. I stopped for a 20 minute break into a marvelous rural Catholic Church in Bexar County. While outside its front doors, I was mesmerized by the local beauty and a statue of Saint Isidore, when the cell phone rang. That awaiting prisoner friend and I then prayed for sufficient rain for farmers and ranchers world wide. Please join us. But just do not ask for too much rain. Remember Katrina too.
I learned below from this source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isidore_the_Laborer
Saint Isidore the Laborer or the Labourer, also known as Isidore the Farmer, or San Isidro Labrador in Spanish, (c. 1070–May 15, 1130), was a Spanish day laborer known for his goodness toward the poor and animals. He is the Catholic patron saint of farmers and Madrid.
Biography: Isidore was born to very poor parents near Madrid, about the year 1070. He was in the service of the wealthy Madrid landowner Juan de Vargas on a farm in the vicinity of Madrid. Juan de Vargas would later make him bailiff of his entire estate of Lower Caramanca.
Every morning before going to work, Isidore was accustomed to hearing a Mass at one of the churches in Madrid. One day his fellow-laborers complained to their master that Isidore was always late for work in the morning. Upon investigation, so runs the legend, the master found Isidore at prayer while an angel was doing the ploughing for him.
On another occasion, his master saw an angel ploughing on either side of him, so that Isidore's work was equal to that of three of his fellow-labourers. Isidore is also said to have brought back to life his master's deceased daughter, and to have caused a fountain of fresh water to burst from the dry earth in order to quench his master's thirst.
He married Maria Torribia, a canonized saint, who is known as Santa MarÃa de la Cabeza in Spain because her head (cabeza in Spanish) is often carried in procession, especially during droughts. Isidore and Maria had one son, who died in his youth. On one occasion their son fell into a deep well and, at the prayers of his parents, the water of the well is said to have risen miraculously to the level of the ground, bringing the child with it, alive and well. Isidore and Maria then vowed continence and lived in separate houses.
Isidore died on 15 May 1130, at his birthplace close to Madrid.

My favorite Portland bridge, the Hawthorne Bridge. I like them all, but this one still is my favorite to set up under. I figured I was going to be on the inner east side tonight one way or another, so I set up in my favorite spot for a few minutes. I also noticed the clouds were moving along at a pretty good clip, so I lengthened things out to two, three and then four minute exposures, with varying degrees of sucess. This is one was just over two minutes, and it worked pretty well on the sky, I think.
Thanks for stopping by!
The billionaire mogul, Howard Hughes, oil man, movie producer, director etc..., spent millions chasing clouds, from San Diego to San Francisco, for years, for his movie!! Tried to make clouds by flying his own planes. He wasted money and health!!
The moral of the story?
He should have gone to Armenia, he would have had the beautiful blue skies with the puffy clouds for the fraction of the price and keeping his health and friends :)))
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Her eyes were blue
I mean...
Yes they were brown
but they were also blue
Do I sound crazy
But I do remember so
Her blues
I must bear responsibility
finally got the camera out (in a brief 10 minutes when Matthew was sleeping!) and took these close up shots of some blue carnations melissa bought me.
A blue drop of ink in water. Like my other shots of drops the camera again was under water while i took the pictures.
Ein blauer Tropfen in Wasser. So wie meine anderen Bilder mit Wasser und Farbe, war die Kamera hier auch wieder mit unter Wasser.
This is a very cropped photo. I took it from a distance with my 40 mm (had to be quick, no time to change objective). To make it a decent image I had to crop it a lot. Luckily the camera was fast and me too with the shot so after this one the butterfly took off :) This was one of two butterflies I captured that windy weekend on Öland. Enjoy! /A

Thank you for your interest in my artwork. I have been selling online for years and I absolutely love it! It has allowed me to sell my original paintings and prints to thousands of collectors worldwide. I have a Masters degree in Fine Art from The University of Tampa, but consider myself self-taught. True talent is revealed not through schooling but through painting.
Glad to have my 17-40 back after a week without my most used lens. I had to send it in for clean and repair because a grain of sand had entered the body parts....It appeared less weather proof than expected and a hour or so at a sand drift was apparently asked too much for. Anyways CPS did a good job and I went out yesterday to do some more long exposure shots, this time near the IJssel at Doesburg.
I'm not gonna give up on all the days I know I've won
There's nothing but blue sky
Nothings gonna stop me now
I am skimming like a skipping stone on a silver lake
I take it when the chips are down
But to play the perfect happy clown
You gotta make a mistake
People are saying
Strange things
And I don't'wanna listen (Too much yeah. . .)
Nothing but blue sky
