At a friend's house. I couldn't resist the color of the chairs. (you can see the blue better when the photo is larger -- click on photo or press L)
After taking some shots of the nearby St.Marys Cathedral I saw this water feature and decided to take a different approach to the usual long exposure water shot, to capture the interesting forms the water took.
Taken on the 26.04.11 @ Loughderg (http://www.loughderg.org/ - if your interested). it was a very peaceful night in a very peaceful place and still cold for this time of year. The island in the middle of the lake sits with the west in the background, thus the light from the sun is still visible at until late at night. But it does give this pic a lovely blue tone. There has been very little processing done with this photo - levels, a touch of contrast and sharpening is all. Best viewed large on black
Snork woke up early, he went out straight away.
Daylight was still hidind behind the corner.
Mister Moon was on the sky, and made the world look blue.
Snow, sky, trees, Snork, magical, mysterial blue.
Fairytale world.
Blue Tit sitting in the Oak tree at the bottom of the garden. The Oak is just coming into leaf and once there is a full canopy we will only hear the 'hidden treasures' as they search for insects.
We can also see the Sparrow Hawk who has discovered that this is a great snack waggon of a garden. Over the last 10 days we've found a total of 4 piles of feathers...just feathers, nothing else. I'm just hoping that Mr & Mrs Blackbird will stay safe as they're now feeding their young, home is in the Laurel bush.
Keep you posted! :))
The Arctic and Alpine Botanic Garden in Tromso, Norway is the most northerly botanic garden in the world. Here we found a host of plants that we couldn't even dream of growing in South Australia. During the few days we were in Tromso in July, the intensity of colour in many of the flowers really struck me, due no doubt to the gentleness of the summer heat for the few weeks of summer at this northerly latitude. The flowers of the Columbine illustrates this intensity of colour very well.
This is the bud of my Royal blue Hibiscus, its 1st bud to open ,cant wait to see the flower. Its called " Oiseau Bleu ". This is its TRUE colour.
I started putting together a blue version of the Reaction Core, and while digging through my bin of trans-blue parts I realized I still had a ton of trans-blue Ninjago snakes, left over from an event support pack. I decided to try them out on a whim, and was quite pleased with the results. I'd like to include some sort of orb at the center, but haven't come up with a design I like yet.
you'll never guess (or maybe you might :)........... took 46 pics to get one that i thought was neat enough to post to macromondays and the 365colour and the DS groups. (love 3-fers)

A friendly and cute little blue tit. He stayed beside me for ages, while I photographed other birds elsewhere.
Cool and pristine, the clouds stand proudly untouched, from the plane's window at 37,000 feet en route to Turkey.
There's a blue light
In my best friend's room
There's a blue light
In his eye
There's a blue light, yeah
I want to see it
Shine
There's a ship
That sails by my window
There's a ship that sails on by
There's a world under it
I think I see it
Sailing away
I think it's sailing
Miles crashing me by
Crashing me by
Crashing me by
There's a world
Outside my doorstep
Flames over
Everyone's hot
Don't you see them shining
I want to hear them
Beating for me
I think I hear them
Waves crashing me by
Crashing me by
Crashing me by
Blue light
