Alligator snapping turtles are very ugly. And also very mean, no doubt because society looks down upon them for not being thin and beautiful.

Alex and Zoe share their favorite pastime, chewing on things.

I got in the water, and got bit by something pretty quick, so I got out and looked to see if it was a crab. I didnt see anything except these little fish, so I got back in and sure enough it was them. The bites were like little pin pricks, and with 15-20 of them going at it, I couldnt handle more than 20-30 seconds of it. I dont think these are the fish that eat the dead skin, but maybe similar. Whats odd is that I could sit on a rock and dangle my feet in the water and they wouldnt bite, but if I put my feet in the sandy bank of the river, they were all over it. I guess thats their domain.

this is actually a really good one i think! the negative is of course a wretched exposure which is why things are so brutal and oversunned in this rendering but i think that kind of works. should have printed it.

Zoe bit my sweater to show her displeasure at having her armpits groomed. She was still purring when this photo was taken, however. She secretly enjoys having liberties taken.
