One of my favourite sport images. I took it one afternoon at a local surf spot just outside Kailuah-Kona, Hawaii.
It's a fact.
About a month ago, Margaret & I took a trip to the U.P. of Michigan.
Perhaps I will get off my ass and show you some photos of that trip
soon.
It was a fine trip and the weather made it biting fly free.

‘Jugglers & Jesters’, which was held at St. John the Baptist PS, attracted children from across Portadown and Craigavon comprising 12 nationalities including a group of Syrian refugee children who recently arrived in the Craigavon area. The Housing Executive was pleased to invest in the week-long series community cohesion activities.

A male chironomid, head-to-tail length around 4-5mm, Snug, Tasmania, Australia.
Chironomids are often misidentified as mozzies but there are ways to easily tell them apart: chironomids hold up their front legs at rest, mozzies hold up their back legs; the leading edge wing veins for the midges are noticeably stronger than the other veins but they are all fairly equal in mozzies; chironomids have haired wings, mosquitoes instead have scales (particularly lining the veins); and finally chironomid females do not have the long sucking proboscis associated with female mozzies.
