These lovely friends climbed a rock formation to gain a 'bird's eye view'. The beach was packed today due to the heatwave. It was nearly 44 degrees on my back deck in the shade.!!

We could build better. The Lillian H. Smith library was built in 1993, yet seems to be from the era of when function and budget was not the only consideration in design. The P.H. Carter architects designed several libraries. Lillian Smith was a librarian in Toronto since 1912 and lectured at Uof T from 1913 (at 26!) to 1952.

あべのハルカスに行きました。

午後から空は曇り、夕日を諦めていましたが、雲間の夕日は空と大阪湾を染めてくれました。

I went to Abeno Harukas.

Sky is cloudy in the afternoon, but had given up the sunset, clouds of sunset gave me dyed the sky and Osaka Bay.

view from my home @ 18th floor...

Taken from a high rise condo balcony. I don't use a camera strap so I was nervous every time I held the camera over the rail. Then I thought to myself, I haven't ever dropped my camera from street level why would I start dropping it now that I'm 10 stories up. Still, every time I leaned out I got the danger vibe. Some lounge chairs and plants edited out for a minimalist aesthetic. I would like to do this shot again when there are some people present or bring my own.

The Highlands of Iceland are known for their volcanic landscapes and incredible crater lakes. This is an aerial view of Hnausapollur, otherwise known as Bláhylur for its turquoise blue water which is rich in trout.

Ngong Ping is a highland in the western part of Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It hosts Po Lin Monastery and Tian Tan Buddha amidst the hills which is about 34 m tall. There are several hills nearby which are also an attraction to tourists. It is now the terminus of the cable car ride Ngong Ping 360 which travels to Tung Chung.

Le Pont Couvert des Draveurs (1926) in south of Rimouski, Quebec, Canada.

Also known as "Pont de Mont-Lebel", this covered bridge is 27.7 metres/91 feet in length with a height of 3.66 metres/12 feet.

Although its name and date plaque states that it was erected in 1930, recent studies of documentation available indicates that it was actually erected in 1926. See here: pontscouverts.com/blogue/pont-des-draveurs/
