Delivered new to Beverley Brothers Brewery Wakefield in 1946 as fleeet number 6. It spent its entire working life delivering beer to Beverely public houses in Lancashire, Yorkshire and Teeside using a Dyson drawbar trailer. It worked until 1967 when the family owned brewery was sold to watney Mann Trueman Ltd. It was restored in in the 1980's in its original livery and is seen carrying a realistic load of empty casks.

Beverley Brothers, Eagle Brewery. Harrison Street, Wakefield. The brewery was founded in 1861 and grew to have 173 tied houses from Lancashire to Teeside. Its principal beers were Trinity Bitter and Eagle Bitter. Middleborough Bitter was brewed twice weekly for delivery to its own pubs and clubs in the Hartlepool area, while DPA was brewed for its Lancashire pubs, which had been aquired via the takeover of John Baxter of Waterfront in 1952. there was also a 6% old ale brewed in smaller quantities for the winter months. Bottled beers included Golden Eagle Light Ale, IPA and Old Warrior Brown Ale.

Beverley were takenover by the Watney Mann Group in march 1967 with the usual promise of no redundacies and closed the brewery in October 1968.

After closure of the brewery the Wines and Spirits Distribuition Plant continued until 1971, much of the site is now occupied by a Health Centre and Fernandes Old Malt House, once Beverleys Malt House.

The TK was introduced in 1959 replacing the S type, the quintessential light truck in the UK throughout the 1960's and most of the 1970's

Serving as the basis for a variety of derivatives, including fire engines, military trucks, tippers, flatbeds and numerous specialty versions.

Available with a multiplicity of engines choices from 4 cylinder Diesels of 200 and 220 cu in 300, 330 cu in Diesel in line sixes and a 214 cu in straight six petrol. In 1981, Bedford introduced turbocharging to the "Red Series" 3.6-litre and 5.4-litre diesel engines, now producing 72 bhp and 102 bhp respectively

In the original series of Fireman Sam (1987-1994), Jupiter is a 1974 Bedford TK fire engine

The Bedford MK/MJ - a 4x4 variant of the TK - was used in large numbers by the British Armed Forces and others. The Bedford MK was introduced to replace the Bedford RL. It was very successful and, by year end 1977, a total of 11,700 units had been produced for the British Army and overseas military services.

After Bedford's Dunstable factory was sold in 1987 to AWD, the TK restarted production for military only use[2] until 1992 when AWD went into receivership.
