Happy Fence Friday to my flickr friends,,,, it was a perfect day to explore Sedona,,, the scenery is breathtaking! We loved this path leading to Bell Rock,,, wishing everyone a good weekend and thanks so much for your visits,

On the way to the fish shop this morning I noticed this lovely old bell on a wall. On a dull morning this little gem made my day instantly brighter.

In one of the many Chang Mai temple's

One of the bells for which the campanile serves as home. You can see that the bell mounts have to account for the lean of the tower, with one side of the arch notched lower than the other, and the arch carved out to accommodate the mouth of the bell.

It is amazing to me that, although the tower started to lean early in construction, there was never any consideration of halting, correcting, or starting anew....they simply finished the construction with the lean, and accommodated to achieve the function of being an operable bell tower.

I have two plants that are alive in mid January, I don't really consider trees plants, so didn't count them, but yes they are. However the Cora Bells and the Ivy is doing well in the 7 degree F weather.

At 8720 FT / 2657 M, Liberty Bell stands guard over Washington Pass, and all climbers driving over Highway 20 stop to drool. First is the East Face, with it's steep big wall climbs. Then comes the South and West faces with modest climbs in the 5.6 to 5.9 range, a peak baggers dream. Finally, is the mercifully short approach, especially for a Cascades climb. It is very popular with climbers during the summer months, and you might get stuck behind another group on the wall. The Liberty Crack is listed in the book "The 50 Classic Climbs of North America", which includes routes such as Denali's West Butress, the North Ridge of Mt. Stuart, and the Nose of El Capitan.

A plethora of bells in the Hallgrimskirkja Bell Tower. It's located at the top of the hill in downtown Reykjavík, Iceland. From here you get a great view of the city. Shot with a Rokinon 12mm lens in manual mode with lens set to off at about f/17.

Ring the bells that still can ring

Forget your perfect offering

There is a crack, a crack in everything

That's how the light gets in...

The ‘bells are calling……There are few sights guaranteed to make the heart sing more sweetly than a vibrant blanket of bluebells stretching across a woodland floor. It is a sure sign that spring has truly arrived..Regularly voted England’s favourite wild flower, bluebells thrive particularly well in woodlands, and the ancient areas of England Forest are no exception. Flowering in mid-April to late May (dependent on weather conditions), they make the most of the sunlight that reaches the woodland floor before the full forest canopy casts its shade. Millions of bulbs may grow closely together in one parcel of woodland, creating a stunning display

This shot from our birding this morning in Mesa, Az. It seems that Bell's Vireo, along with Lucy's Warbler are the most common of the migrants in Maricopa County right now. Unfortunately I did not observe whether this Bell's had a "tail wag" or a "tail bob", which I am told may determine the subspecies. Next time....

In the morning the other day I found this little bell flower on a meadow near my local lake.

Old genuine brass bells with red ribbon, they are quite heavy. Background is a puzzle and some tealights.

A bell, colloquially known as gong, bell, jingle. Device for ringing. Small chrome-plated metal goblet with a clapper. Electrically operated by a push button on the front door.

Bell tower of a no longer used early 1900’s school house in Gilson Illinois. This large bell was sufficient to be heard throughout the town.

and here you thought they were only on churches and other imposing edifices ~grin~

A photo of some blue bells I took last week.

I feel bad that I'm not able to comment and fave my friend's photos tonight. I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow. I'm just exhausted tonight. :D I hope everyone has a great day.

Pretty little spring flowers from the back yard.

The smallest cowbell of a series. We once (long ago) bought them in a music store in Innsbruck while on vacation. The sound of this cowbell gives a high C.
