that sun flare! (on a side note, I got asked if I edit in my sun flare, the answer is no, I would never do something like that, it’s like lying for something that is achievable on the camera). In some respects I can’t wait to go to university and have a fresh start and not so much as reinvent myself but erase the parts of me that I don’t like. But then I remember that I am awful in social situations and I don’t want to grow up and do anything adult like cook or pay bills or get a job.

Day 35 of 365, Saturday, June 16, 2012
Today was forecast to hit over 100 degrees, so I got up at 5:00 am in order to get out for a walk before the sun got very high.
It was a beautiful morning – definitely the best part of this day!

Today's photo tour sends us to the New Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom for a shot of my niece cooling off from the hot Florida sun. This is such a great area for kids, as well as adults, if you're looking to beat the heat and not worry about getting a little wet or soaked in this case. lol. I can tell you one thing, it was very hot that day in mid August and I know she was having the time of her life. What do the kids in your family do to beat the heat while in Disney? Have a magical day!

Decided to head into the city one afternoon but there was rain from the moment we went on the train. However, having travelled into the city I managed to get a few photos under the cover of an umbrella. Some great city light reflections and one of my favourite from the night.
Taken with the Sony Nex-5n. A great little travel camera. Would love to have the Sony 10-18mm f/4 zoom lens for my Sony Nex as it looks like a great lightweight wide-angle lens for the Nex.
Looking forward to a few reviews of the new Sony RX100 II and the Sony A3000 but I still prefer the look and feel of the Sony Nex-6 and Sony Nex-7 cameras. A Sony Nex-7 paired with the new Zeiss 16-70mm f/4 zoom lens would be a handy combination:)
Joy: Dear sister Yuki, why do you have your toe in sister Penny's ear?
Penny: Are you trying to keep your toes warm?
Yuki: I have had a horrible boot accident. lindamom put my RD boots on at Christmas and left them on. When she took them off my feet were all bent up. She was hysterical.
Rosy: She is loud when she is hysterical.
Penny: She warmed them and blew on them and napped with me on her stomach. They are quite alright now but we are being careful.
Merry: snoring....
Holly: Do your toes hurt?
Penny: No. lindamom wants to write takara and ask them why the boots that came with me disfigured my feet but I convinced her I was ok.
Lily: Normally she insists we change our clothes and get in white dress every night.
Ivy: You don't want to get arthritis. I hear that putting your feet in tight boots can lead to arthritis. Did you soak them in warm water? Maybe Penny's ears are a good place for them. Drink plenty of hot drinks.
Merry: mmmm....snore....
Yume: You should come up here and cuddle with us. It is too cold.
Joy: Lets all get on the bed in a heap. We can watch Flipping Vegas and eat heros.
Ivy: I don't ever want to get out of bed. I had a terrible stomach accident.
Holly: What kind of accident?
Ivy: I have not eaten in a half hour.
A Royal Navy sailor closely monitors a radar display in Type 23 frigate HMS Monmouth's operations room.
Alarms sound, drills commence, monitors flash, switches are made; it seems a lot to think about all at once, but this is the constant tempo in the beating heart of HMS Monmouth; the Operations room.
There are banks of displays each showing unique information which, to the untrained eye, is a jumble of letters, numbers and lines, but to the members of the Warfare department who call the Ops room home, it enables them to fuse information together to allow the Ship to operate effectively and is their way of life throughout a 7 month deployment.
Warfare is the word in the Ship’s nerve centre, whether it’s Above Water Warfare, Under Water Warfare or Electronic Warfare The Ops room is vital to the Ship’s defence and safety, enabling the Monmouth to defend herself and others if required, whilst maintaining a watch over other vessels and aircraft in the Arabian Gulf.
The Black Duke’s crew are well trained and even better practiced, having been in Defence watches for 4 months as they pass the half way stage in their 7 month deployment. What a deployment it has been; escorting merchant vessels, counter-piracy operations, protecting Mine-hunters and conducting hundreds of Approach and Assist Visits on vessels in the Gulf as the Ship provides stability to the region through their Maritime Security patrols and Wider Regional Engagement.
The Ops room is the electronic eyes and ears of the Ship, extending her reach over the horizon and connecting her to the rest of the Task Force enabling her to contribute fully to Coalition operations in the region. The Operations Officer and Head of the Warfare Department Lt Cdr Ian Feasey commented “Having received specific training at FOST for this deployment the guys have worked hard to maintain operational capability, through regular training and a strong team spirit; they remain ready to react to whatever situation we may face in the remainder of our time on deployment”

Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH tram 3281 crosses the Theodore-Heuss-Brücke over the River Neckar in Heidelberg, working 17.04 route 26 service from Handschuhsheim, Burgstraße to Kirchheim Friedhof.
Tram 3281 is a Bombardier RNV8Z "Variotram", built in 2009 for RNV; eight were built for Heidelberg in 2002-2003 (273 to 280, renumbered 3273 to 3280 in 2012), with a further eight following in 2009-10 (3281 to 3288), and all originally classified RNV8. They were actually built by Stadler, since Bombardier sold its "Variotram" division to Stadler in 2001 in order to concentrate on its "Flexity" family of vehicles; Stadler renamed the design "Variobahn". RNV also operates the shorter six-axle RNV6 and RNV6Z versions, some of these having been built for Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and the OEG before the formal merger to form RNV and some after the merger.
This was taken towards the end of my day in Heidelberg, which had started with some photography of trams on this bridge but from the other side of the road. I'd returned here to take some views looking east from the bridge, of the river and the hills, now that the sun had moved round to a more favourable angle, but also shot a handful of trams - although that was now harder as, being around 5pm, the shadows of the lampposts and flag poles stretched across the road. After this, I found somewhere to have a meal and then travelled back to Mannheim as there were a couple of tram routes I wanted to do there which had limited availability.

Potentissima.

The very heart of Dublin City . Amid the COVID-19 restrictions, abandoned. Deserted.

I take Joker back to the cave. I can’t believe what this has come to, me defending this monster from one of my own. How can he still be alive? I went over the remains of the warehouse fifteen times trying to find any evidence that he may have survived but I found nothing. How could he have survived that? That question keeps running through my head as I park the batmobile and drag the unconscious Joker into a holding cell. If there’s one man who knows what happened to Jason it’s him.
These holding cells are designed to hold the likes of Clark and Diana, I very much doubt they would be that successful but they are easily strong enough to hold the unconscious Joker. I activate the shockers in the cell to wake him up. I have questions, and he’s going to give me answers.
“Wowza, talk about a shocking surprise! Hahahaahaha”
“…”
“So where are we then Batsy boy? What have you done with that naughty boy of yours?”
“What have you done to him?”
“Sorry?”
“Where have you been hiding him?”
“Trust me Batsy, I’m just as confused as you are. As far as I was concerned he was dead last I checked.”
“Where did you hide him all this time?”
“I’m telling you Batsy I’m just as confused as you are. I’m surprised to see that bird still has it’s wings. A collapsed lung is usually enough to kill anyone. Guess you choose only the best for your disciples eh?”
“…”
“Where are we now? This your home? You sure do milk this whole creature of the night thing! Hahahahaha”
I activate the shockers again rendering him unconscious. If he isn’t the one behind Jason’s return then who is? The image of Jason beating Joker mercilessly keeps flashing before my eyes. I can’t believe he’s actually alive and what he was willing to do. He was willing to kill Joker and even attack me for trying to stop him from going through with it. I don’t know how Jason could still be alive, but the man that attacked me wasn’t the Jason I know of.
Alfred’s stood on the platform that houses the batcomputer watching me walk up the steps towards him, he’s been there since I pulled into the cave. No doubt he’s keen to find out the reason that I’ve brought Jason’s ‘killer’ to the cave as he knows it must be a good reason.
“Our guest enjoying his room?”
“…”
“Master Bruce?”
“….”
“Master Bruce what’s wrong?”
“He was there Alfred.”
“Who? This Red Hood fellow?”
“Jason….”
“What?”
“Jason….Jason is the Red Hood."
“What? That’s not possible. Jason’s dead.”
“I saw him Alfred. It was Jason.”
“Master Bruce, listen to me. Jason’s dead. It couldn’t have been him.”
“It was him Alfred. I can prove it.”
I pull the SD card out of my cowl and insert into the batcomputer. Since day one I’ve chosen to have the lenses of my cowl record all my visual and audio input primarily to act as visual evidence of culprits partaking in crimes, but this time it’s acting as evidence for the impossible. The computer loads up and I fast forward to the time I witnessed Jason assaulting Joker. The scene plays out and the moment Jason turns around to reveal his face Alfred places his hand over his mouth in shock,
“How…”
“I don’t know. But I need to find out.”
“That’s why you brought him here. Because you know Jason will come for him.”
“That’s what I’m counting on Alfred.”
“But Bruce, how can he be alive? We buried him.”
“We buried an empty coffin Alfred. We never found the body.”
The computer shows Jason attacking me and I see tears begin to fall from Alfred’s eyes. The sight of Alfred in such a state is upsetting.
“What happened to him? What has he become?”
I reach out with my arms and hug Alfred. I hate to see him in this state. Whilst it doesn’t answer his questions I know that my hug cheers him up slightly. I rarely do it now a days so I know that when I do hug him it always cheers him up if only slightly in this case.
“I don’t know Alfred. But we’ll find out what happened to him, and we’ll save him. I promise.”
Twenty four hours go by and Jason doesn’t appear, a worrying issue. I hope no-one attacked him after I left him unconscious whilst I fled with Joker. Alfred’s been nervously awaiting Jason’s arrival unsure of what’s going to happen when he returns home. I’ve spent most of my time looking at the remains of Jason’s suit. Since his ‘death’ I’d repaired the suit and had it displayed in the cave. With no body to bury I needed some way to honor him, even if there was a tombstone and grave at the Wayne Burial ground remembering Jason. Having his suit there was a reminder. Both of his sacrifice, and my promise to him that night. No one else would suffer because of my actions.
I start to think about how I may have broken this promise when I took Tim on as the new Robin, but I made sure that the mistakes I made with Jason weren’t made with Tim. Jason……
I reminisce about how I first met Jason all those years ago, when I saved him from Killer Croc and all the other crimes he helped me fight during his time as Robin. I don’t get far though before I hear Alfred racing towards me.
“Master Bruce! Master Bruce! He has him! “
“Slow down Alfred, who has who?”
“It’s Jason sir. He’s got young Master Timothy!”
“WHAT? Why didn’t you stop Tim from going out on his own? You know it’s not safe with Jason out there!”
“I didn’t think Master Timothy would be of any interest to Jason. I didn’t think he’d even know there was a new Robin.”
“Alfred, it was one of the first things Joker taunted him with, the prospect that he had been replaced. Have you managed to track Tim down?”
“I’m afraid after announcing he had him, Jason destroyed Master Timothy’s tracker and communicator. But I know one thing sir.”
"What’s that Alfred?”
“He’s coming here. Tonight.”
I pause for a moment. The time’s come. He’s on his way.
“Alright. Get ready Alfred, the minute he gets here I want to get Tim and take him to safety. I’ll deal with Jason.”
“What about the clown?”
“He’s staying sedated. The last thing I need is him aggravating Jason whilst I try to stop him.”
“What if Jason tries to kill him?”
“He won’t Alfred. Jason’s many things, but he’s not a killer.”
“How can you be sure?”
“Because I know him Alfred. Trust me. Jason is not a killer.”
Alfred nods and heads back up to the batcomputer to try and search all of Gotham’s CCTV cameras to try and spot Tim or Jason. I only hope that there’s truth to what I just told Alfred. I know Jason is a good kid, but a lot can change in five years…
OK, I think I like this -- no, I think I love this. The quilting makes the hearts look like they are beating.
Partner? Thoughts?
You can see she is taking a beating. 2014 rebuild. After a few trips to Chicago and local shows - the dock is showing wear and tear. It needs to be rebuilt from the ground up but it will be bigger, stronger, and more modular. In theory, it will be a breeze to move and set up….of course I'm going to have to invest in custom tables now. :(
