An article I wrote that can be downloaded from McCalls's Website! Shown is a Quilt I designed that is featured in the November/December 2010 issue of McCall’s Quilting
Long time no see :) I have been busy practising with my new Cuttlebug and Olivia-alphabets. Love them? Well, so far just like them. Have to practise more. So much leftovers and letters that you don't be able to use... I'm starting to wonder if QuicKutz would have been better for my needs.
Anyway finally had time and inspiration to make a new card - To a Friend :)
BasicGrey's Two Scoops papers and some others, Prima Flowers, Magnolia stamps, Tilda ribbon(thanks again Maissi), word "Hugs" made with Cuttlebug Olivia-alphabets.
"Ystävälle" is finnish and means "to friend". It's a tag and there is also text in it " People like you make the world a better place".
I'm participating in TGF's 2nd anniversary blog hop and here's the project I made for this special event! Blogged here!
The paper is blush by Basic Grey and the scroll is from Maya road. I covered it in pink ink and then embossed it with dazzling Diamonds EP.
When I found these illustrations from a 70s comic I wanted to feature them prominently on a project so made some simple cards with them.
I blogged about them here.
Great addition to my handbag!
Lighted Mirror Compact Blank for Scrapbooking, Photos or Embroidery.
Bought from "My Little Cuddle Bugs" shop.
I want to add something in the center of the paper but don't know what to add...
absolutely my favourite quilt to date, the gorgeous, sumptous collection is hello luscious by basic grey for moda, backed and bound with a beautiful blue floral from blush by basic grey. Pattern is my favourite by elizabeth fransson

Scrapped out photo cube created as a Make & Take at our store. Each side is 4"x4" and is joined at the corners with thin twine. We added a number of photo mats , but some sides have sentiments instead! For more ideas like this one, check out our blog at www.capturedmomentsblog.com
Quilt made as fundraiser for my daughter's preschool. Had each of the students write their name on a leaf, and appliqued to a "tree" along with apples for the teachers and Oreo, the school pet rabbit! The school initials are "carved" into the tree trunk. Blogged at:

Today was a day for me. I know that things aren't always sunshine and rainbows and sometimes it's okay to have a bad day. This was very difficult for me to put "out there" and yet I feel some peace from actually doing it.
This is the digitally stitched version but you can see the individual pages in my gallery.
Journaling reads:
"Right now...I'm in a dark & twisty place. I stole that line from Grey's Anatomy, but I stole it because it fits. They live in Seattle where it's gloomy & rainy and that probably has something to do with it. Anyways...I'm dark & twisty. My head is full of colors, swirling around so I can't think straight or even formulate complete thoughts. My life feels like it is slowly spinning out of control and I feel more alone in more ways than I ever thought possible. I like to keep all these thoughts hidden because they are dark & twisty and because in the general scheme of things, my life isn't that bad...on the outside. It's the little things that make life big and it's these little things that I try to focus on to pull me out of the d&t. Like...random text messages from random people letting me know they are thinking of me...phone calls from my big brother...hearing a song with perfect lyrics right when I need to hear it...cupcakes at work...someone doing a happy dance to try and get me to smile...crying for the sake of crying because it just feels right...compliments on layouts from complete strangers...the truly little things that often go unnoticed. I know life isn't that bad and things will work themselves out. Everything happens for a reason...even if it's not a very good one. So even though I'm fighting the dark & twisty hardcore, I'll try and remember all the little things...that make life BIG. 17 February 2011"
