Continuing my National Park wildlife series with this bugling bull elk photographed on frosty morning in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.
At 2281 m (7486 ft) the upper terminal of the Banff Gondola sightseeing lift also has the full-service Panorama Restaurant, self-serve Summit Café, 360° observation decks and the Sanson’s Peak boardwalk all offering incredible views. The vista includes Banff townsite, Cascade and Rundle Mountains, the Bow River, Lake Minnewanka, and The Fairmont Banff Springs hotel and golf course as well as a resident herd of bighorn sheep. Both restaurants offer tables by huge windows; the Panorama also has soft lounge seats.
Sound appealing? Highly recommended when one is in Banff. Boy am I overdue for a return.....

Happy Friday!
They pack snow into large frame boxes and then people pack it down like they were stomping grapes. Then the snow artists do their craft.

It was last minute that I really wanted to go to Lake Louise because it started to snow in the fall. I decided to go there, I told my little brother to join me also he was very interested. Next day, we left the home around 4:30 am in the morning. You can call me I’m crazy because you don’t understand about Lake Louise. Let me tell you two things. First thing, the weather is gorgeous in the morning at Lake Louise so there is a lot of good opportunities for photography. Second things, there is extremely popular no matter what time you show up the parking lot will be full. I drove to Banff and there was a blizzard in the morning. I had a little panic about the highway because it was going to be Icey. I drove slowly to avoid trouble. Finally, we made it to Lake Louise. It was the beautiful day I ever had!

Vermillion Lakes in Banff National Park, the natural spring has been dammed by Beavers creating the reflecting pond
Looking down on Banff's "Castle," The Banff Springs Hotel.
The Bow river flows thru that gorge between the hotel and the Tunnel Mountain Road with the Banff Falls at the right end, out of sight with the trees. But I could hear it well.
Have a wonderful week!
I came across this fella in the Bow Valley in Banff National Park in Alberta. Paid me no mind at all, just carried on grazing. Doesn't look like he misses to many meals.
