the first time i could see Bahrain from khobar corniche. it must have been quite clear weather. i used my 70-210mm telephoto Minolta lens, to take this shot, and had to sharpen and enhance on photoshop to highlight the Bahrain tall buildings. The sea color was breathtaking that day.

A press photographer runs for cover from tear-gas in Duraz village, north of the Bahraini capital Manama 13 March 2012, during clashes on the third day of mourning funeral march of 21-year-old Fadel Al-Obaidali. Heavy clashes broke-out between protesters and police following the mourning march as protesters tried to march on the main street leaving several injuries among the protesters and damaged a number of cars, including one that was burned completely. Al-Obaidali, an active protester, died on 10 March 2012 as a result of severe head injury he sustained during clashes with police on 1 March 2012. According to the opposition more then 70 people have been killed since the pro-reform protests broke-out on 14 February 2011, with tension continuing to rise in the small Gulf island.
