Playing w/ Detra's backlight presets. Trying to push myself to keep trying backlighting to get more confident! I was trying to get some sunflare and though I could see the flare in my camera lens, nothing showed up all that great here! :)

Not quite the shot I had pictured in my mind.. I wanted it a little closer but none of those shots were really up to scratch and I really need to finish writing up my dissertation and revise blahblahblah. But next time..

Thunderstorms in the Pikes Peak front range area about 5:30 this evening provided unusual lighting looking directly west into the setting sun behind the clouds..It was blinding brightness and of course rain with streaming light and the backlighting and rays coming off the clouds all combined to make some interesting weather shots.
