Nothing to say, just enjoy.

Driver circuit for the LCD's LED backlights.
Taken with a reversed 50mm prime lens, taped securely to a filter adapter attached to my Canon S70.
My phone died recently. I think the charging circuit quit working, because it would recognize being plugged into power, but the battery never charged. It has since been replaced.
hey guys! my photo got published in backlight magazine along with a bunch of other photographers.
you can buy your own copy or just browse through it here

Spring is sprung here, well so it seems anyway. Usually a good sign when the willow at the end of my garden decides to open it's flowers, so I'm hoping we have left winter behind :)
Also gave me another excuse to play with the new ringflash, LOL.
One thing I had not tried, was in conjunction with other flashes, or with radio triggers. I'm pleased to say it works perfectly, though there is just one small failing. It doesnt for some reason seem to be strong enough to trigger another flash set on slave mode.
Wether this is down to the lack of light, or that the flash duration on it is much longer, so it is not recognised as a flash, I'm not sure. Just a minor inconvenience and no big deal.
With this shot, I resisted the temptation to do any editing, apart from a slight crop and re-sizing. It could probably do with a few tweaks to the levels/contrast, but I wanted to keep this straight from the camera for a change :)
Setup as normal can be seen below :-

Snow-covered, backliit silver birches near Raippaluodon and patterned snow on the sea ice, good shit.
Otherwise, there's not really much else to this photo.
A Sunday project this week that was fun, taking pictures of my beautiful wife using a couple of lights between her and the window as well as the natural sunlight reflecting off the sun to produce a back lit series of pictures. Last weekend, the snow was still just above the window out back here, because 2 weeks ago we had shoveled the roof, and there was so much snow that we ended up just moving the snow off the roof, the snow on the ground was nearly the same height.
Its a holiday and I am in our front yard doing some backlighting leaves using the sun. And here are the few I got from my mini photoshoot.
This leaf has a burned part and I look it interesting than plain yellow green.

I made the setup (and the jump), and Miki was my photographer assistance as "remote trigger" (thanks!).
