just a shot from other one...

This backlight effect looks like as if there was fire on the branches.

I didn't get one of these for myself. Dang.

Strobist info: can't remember exactly as this shot is almost a year old. Probably a bare Nikon SB25 from back right and small reflector in front.

The shot was taken in Pondycherry at an Antique furniture shop by morning 11 AM. This garland was hanging out near the entrance and the light from my view was amazing. These garland does not know where it goes when it was made.

New York, July 2012.

so, i am going out of town tomorrow on my first solo trip in two years (a wedding shower for my sister-in-law -- yay!). while i am SO excited to be able to do things like read and eat on the plane without having to wrangle a 1 year-old onto my lap or help a 3 year-old navigate the airplane potties, i am also a bit on edge tonight...

so, despite my plane LEAVING in less than 7 hours, here i am.

uploading photos. hehe.
