A quite simple idea I got recently: a classic tessellation hiding some message inside, showing it only when backlit.
Each one is folded from a 38cm square.

To create the effect of bright light coming through a window I positioned two flash heads behind the backdrop and used the backdrop as a diffuser with a single flash head lighting the model.
I was hiking and suddenly saw the sun come in across the forest, making a lovely backlight. Unfortunately, it was the kind of beauty that cannot be captured in a photo, but I tried it.

This was a very "on the fly" capture. I was on the way home from work and spotted this windmill. The sun broke through the cloud for about 10 seconds before the heavy clouds came over. No HDR today and no Photoshop other than a 16x9 crop(foreground was boring).
