A prickly poppy, its roots buried in the cool sand beneath a boulder in the Mojave riverbed, shows translucent petals in the backlight from the morning sun.
Camera: Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Flash (1949-1961), with Kodak Close-Up Attachment No. 13.
Film: Kodak Ektar 100 ISO Color Negative 120 film rolled onto a 620 spool, developed using The Film Photography Project's C-41 Home Processing Kit, and scanned with an Epson V600 scanner.
The Sun was low in the sky and back lighting these leaves of the Beech tree. Love the way the sun brings the colour out of the Leaves.
This new bloom on my Gazania flower was closing up its petals for the day and while I was unable to capture that wonderful center full of designed patterns, I did get some great back light from the setting sun.....straight from the camera!
