Liquid nickel. It takes a lot of hard labour to pour it into the moulds. The temperature is almost unbearable and the work is extremely repetitive.
This is the backdrop for my wedding invitation. Next, I'll add the text.

If your image of English Bed and Breakfast establishments is of dowdy private houses pretending to be small hotels, then Hill Farm at Halse is probably more small country house hotel than an average B and B.
A mile or so down a paved track, on the edge of a remarkably neat and townie-friendly (no mud or smells) working farm, and with outbuildings sensitively converted into cottages, it could be deep in Green England, but is less than ten minutes from a major cross-country road, the A43, and for motor racing enthusiasts, less than thirty minutes from Silverstone circuit.
You may detect that I like this place. Tidy without being too prim and tense, homely, without being cabbage-smellingly scruffy, it's "take us as you find us" but with class. Hosts helpful without being intrusive, personal space, after a long day, easy to find, without the "challenge" of isolation in a seldom-used guest room, beyond the reach of central heating and regular dusting.
In short, I'd recommend it to anyone. It's a deeply English and restful place, quirky, yet businesslike. Great value, and easy to reach.
