ELYSIAN PARK - With the Los Angeles Fire Department's training center as a backdrop, graduates of the Firefighter/EMS Magnet (FEMS) program at Woodrow Wilson High School in El Sereno were honored by civic leaders and LAFD leadership at a May 25, 2019 ceremony capped with a skills demonstration as their families cheered their accomplishment. One of four youth programs supported by the LAFD, FEMS provides a highly structured and progressive pathway for achieving academic, physical and life skills beneficial to a fire service career, including teamwork, leadership, courage and commitment.

So you do tests to find out what problems exist with your idea. The little clamp-on work-lights with 75-watt black light bulbs didn't illuminate the backdrop at all. I mean, barely visible UV effect. SO...as you can see here I've got my old 40-watt fluorescent black light fixture sitting behind the guitar flat on the pallet. It's better, but still really not enough UV. I apparently have to address this issue.
Other than that, I'm kinda happy about the overall look of the thing. Little tweaking here and there for alignment, distance and depth of focus, but I think this should look kinda cool.
BTW, that old Yamaha SSC500 is the only guitar I own right now. I've sold everything to keep solvent while building the business, so that was the only thing I had to use for a test shoot. I love that guitar, though.

Veteran racing driver Sir Stirling Moss, OBE, comes face to face with himself from over half a century earlier, during the Classic Motor Show, Birmingham National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, England.
Stirling Moss is a true hero of mine, as he is to many others. And it’s always a pleasure to meet a man who lives up to all the legends; a true British gentleman. On this occasion, we were about to interview him for Classic Car Weekly newspaper but, before it was our turn, he spent time talking with another journalist. The location where he was giving interviews had a huge picture of the 20-something Stirling as a backdrop, meaning that the 81-year-old winner of 212 races out of the 529 he entered from 1948 to 1962 ‘confronted’ himself as he chatted with the other journalist, just out of shot. It was a golden opportunity to capture the young and old Stirling together.
I love this photo; it’s one of my absolute favourites out of the many pictures I’ve ever taken. No PhotoShopping, no posing, no pretending; just two images of the same person wearing near identical expressions, separated by almost 60 years yet together at the same time.
