Working with Duncan on a backdrop for his comedy club. Made using a thick cotton sheet and fabric paint, including one colour that glows in the dark.
Duncan had the design as an image file, which we reproduced enlarged upon the sheet by tracing a projection from my living room projector.
For anyone working with glow-in-the-dark paint, note that it's quite transparent stuff, and would have been much brighter if we'd painted a white coat underneath. It seems that the black fabric sucks much of the glowing light away, where a white background ought to reflect it.
