Squally showers and blowing hard this afternoon. Lost my lens cap this morning so retraced my steps to the carpark at the prom and found it....almost under the rainbow....

Of course, what is nice at Cadiz is the AZRC interchange. But the backdrop it offers for a westbound is also pretty interesting.

Pearl and her kids were visiting LA from Texas. They quickly changed into the white outfits, which I thought was a good choice. The weather was perfect, and in spite of the thick wall of marine layer, we were able to take some good sunset shots. One of the spots at Manhattan Beach was the lifeguard hut. I had them stand in front of the ramp, at the end of the ramp as well as on the deck. Really loved how well their white garments against the sunset backdrop turned out.

The massive Galeón Andalucía replica docked at the harbour during a beautiful golden hour. The warm, low-angled sun brings out every rich grain of the wooden hull and the complex web of rigging, while the green hills of the Irish coast provide a stunning, verdant backdrop.

So the backdrops I made were for a much smaller space so nowadays when I try to take group shots that the ugly yellow wall of my room peeps through. So I was about to throw out the shipping box my two modern circle kens came in when I realised I had a bunch of printed out brick wall textures to be used and the cardboard was more than enough for a decent backdrop for group photos.
So yeah I finally have another backdrop to use.

The former Bass Brewer, now owned my Molson Coors, forms the backdrop as 1Q48 08.33 Derby RTc to Tyseley headed by 67027 with 67023 trailing power along the main line following a signal check at Burton station. Looking back at maps of the Burton area Guild Street Junction was located here, to the left, serving the brewery it being established not long after the railway arived in the area in 1839 and was still shown on the 1965 OS Plan. By the 1972 OS Plan it is just shown as a dismantled railway.
