We had a supermoon on January 1, 2018. We also had a cloud layer on Jan 1 and 2. When I got enough clear sky to shoot this, the moon was a little past "full". Maybe that helped show the craters. Glad to see the performance of the 300mm PF lens with a 1.4tc...

We had been out and upon returning, the lightning was flashing all around and I said I've got to try a capture. Eight of 64 shots included a lightning bolt and this was the best.
Not sure which Fritillary this is, but it was just outside my window this morning.
