Instruction #07 “Be a sissy, shoot backs”

Late 70's. This is my father with me(right) and my sister about 30 years ago. These basket seats were very common at the Baltic Sea at that time. They were supposed to protect you from chilly wind.

It's scanned from a slide, the texture was already there.

And it's taken by my Mom (probably).

After waiting for one Amtrak, UP's local that interchanges with the Richmond Pacific is making a fast run back to the Oakland as it blows through Berkeley. The last few weeks have seen this local running with rebuilt GP40M-2/GP40N 1527 and an SD70M, making for an odd pairing and a bit of overkill with today's short consist.

This was taken in 1998 using my Zenza Bronica ETRS and Fuji slide film, and of course, a tripod. I've uploaded some images from this shoot before, but they were always poor quality scans and now, finally, I have a scanner that can scan medium format film directly and here are the results.

The reason I bought the scanner is because believe it or not, I am planning to get back to film photography; but I will definitely NOT be giving up digital!

Big thanks to Howard and also Craig for recommendations for a medium format film scanner.

all the missed opportunities

all the things i've said

all the things i've not said

all the wrong things i've done

all the good things i haven't done

but, if i could turn back the time,

i would probably make just as many mistakes.

It was kind of a funny morning.

I took this kind of weird decision, that led me to this kind of unusual place, where I found this broken sink. At first, I didn't realised it was a hole - I thought it was kind of a stain - and when I understood, there was this kind of weird feeling that I was at the exact right place, at the exact right time. I was supposed to see this - and it was more of a reflection than the mirror below it.

The All American Boy Band is back at it again, winning the hearts of young and old, the New Kids On The Block bring thier new tour named the "Mix Tape Tour" to the city of Brotherly Love. Fans poured into the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on a Wednesday night, eager to hear NKOB, Rick Ashley, Salt N Pepper, and En Vouge and the songs that made them famous during the late 1980's. Unlike conventional concerts, NKOB found a way to keep thousands on their feet and going crazy for almost 3 hours non stop.
