A white Christmas would be wonderful, of course. But we've only had one (across the board) six times in the last 120 years. So there's no point in getting upset about it.
If there's no snow, then at least some sunshine would be nice. Unfortunately, it's been gray and foggy for days (at least here where I am). So, sunshine is probably out of the question.
Luckily, there's still the sunshine in my heart, which I hope to tap into with this photo and activate when needed.
Happiness, and the feeling of happiness, isn't dependent on chance or external circumstances. It's a conscious decision that strongly depends on how I evaluate a situation, where I direct my attention, and, of course, on my general outlook on life.
With that in mind, on this penultimate Monday flower greeting of the year, I wish you a large dose of sunshine in your heart and thus a sunny and joyful week.
And this is regardless of the weather.
Eine weiße Weihnacht wäre natürlich richtig toll. Doch hatten wir diese (flächendeckend) gerade einmal 6 Mal in den letzten 120 Jahren. Es lohnt sich also nicht, sich darüber zu ärgern.
Wenn schon kein Schnee da ist, dann wäre doch wenigstens Sonnenschein schön. Leider sieht es (zumindest hier bei mir) seit Tagen grau und neblig aus. Das mit der Sonne wird dann wohl auch eher schwierig.
Zum Glück gibt es noch die Sonne im Herzen, die ich mit diesem Foto ansprechen und bei Bedarf aktivieren möchte.
Glück und auch das Glücksgefühl ist nicht von Zufällen und Rahmenbedingungen abhängig. Es ist eine bewusste Entscheidung die stark davon abhängt, wie ich eine Situation bewerte, wo ich meine Aufmerksamkeit hin lenke und natürlich wie meine generelle Einstellung zum Leben aussieht.
In diesem Sinne wünsche ich Euch am vorletzten montäglichen Blumengruß das Jahres eine große Portion Sonne im Herzen und damit eine sonnige und fröhliche Woche.
Und dies unabhängig von meteorologischen Rahmenbedingungen.
These look like some kind of moon buggies from a sci-fi movie, but at least one of them is a coffee shop. I'm not sure what the other two were as they weren't open. I certainly thought they were interesting when I saw them in roker. I thought of the Police song Walking on the Moon straight away. There's some interesting stuff in the world that you just come along on by accident.

Never mind that the video is black and white, the audio is silent, and the screen flickers like a bad horror movie. Rules say "bolts or other items without the matching socket will be removed"—but what about perfectly fitting connections that refuse to work?

I was amazed when I saw the big feet of the bittern. Overall I didn't know this bird was so big, he's about 75cm/30inch tall!
It was the most beautiful summer morning on the lake. Couldn't believe he let me this close from my kayak.
I want to wish all Americans a Happy Thanksgiving and what better way to do it than with a bald eagle who just finished eating a big fish. My American friends have shown me the most kindness on this Flickr journey, and they say us Canadians are nice, but I think we have nothing on them. Appreciate you! ❤️

Football, it's an extraordinarily male thing... although my Dad never took me to a football match or even an empty football stadium EVER. And still he hasn't. I never "got" football, but my brothers did. Incessantly did my brothers and my (male) friends go on and on and on about football..... but it is a never ending subject for so many. And here another indoctrination begins......
Small but beautiful Komyo Falls is located at the base of Mt. Izumigatake , Sendai.
I visited there after so long.
I felt fear to encounter the bears.
This day the desire overcame the fear.
I took some photos and I got into the car quickly.
I introduce some aspects of the falls.

Sarah and I are very sorry to let you know that Chip has passed today, he did not suffer at all.
We told him to head towards the rainbow bridge but Chip being Chip was last seen headed for the beach instead.
We are both heartbroken and his loss will follow us always, however we have tried to give the little fella the best life we possibly could, he has been loved as much as any dog has ever been loved.
Not much post processing here, but lots of playing around with a tiny LED lights, a 2cm crystal sphere and even smaller crystal beads ;o)

Lovely and sunny, but the wind is freezing cold, even going out into the garden isn't that much fun. So I had a look inside instead.
While I was filling my mug with water for a cup of tea I noticed that the dog food tin that had been soaking had bubbles on the top. Don't know why as although I'd put some washing up liquid in it last night it's not normally still bubbly in the morning.
I turned on the strip light and took some photos and this was the one I liked best.

225/365 This dandelion is very cute but it is all over my parents backyard... Man.. it's tough to clean those because they keep flying all over the place and the plant itself has thorn.

It's obvious where this is, halfway between London and Edinburgh on the ECML, all's not what it seems though, with artistic licence I've flipped both the sign and the LNER logo on the Azuma.

This Chihuahua stood his ground when a much bigger dog came over to merely say hello. They may be small but they are mighty, and his bark apparently was worse than his bite.
But believe me, at this moment you´re absolutely breathless. Not because of the walk for several hours (we decided not to take the "tourist route") rather then the view over the Trotternish Ridge of the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
Posting this, because there are some considerations for taking another quick tour this year. But only maybe. And only because, this country never let you go again.
Again I would like to thank my wonderful and beloved wife for this and all what´s coming. Love you my dear!

The collared dove is such a familiar sight (and sound) very few people realize the species only came to these shores in the 1950s. Higly successful and a multi-breeder (3 to 6 times per year, if not more), they are now found in abundance everywhere there are humans. The distinctive red iris makes the dove particularly appealing up close.
