But how he set – I know not –
-Emily Dickinson
This is my image for category 104 – Terracotta, in the group 120 pictures in 2020.
Padiham, Lancashire
Another wet grey miserable day but just had a short wander as the autumn colour is fast declining. The heavy rain is putting a swift end to our beautiful fall trees!
Another week and all out trees will be stripped bare for another year! Autumn never lasts long enough.
But I know if I could do it over
I would trade, give away all the words that I saved
In my heart that I left unspoken

You held me down and took control
You told me count my blessings
You took advantage of my soul
I should've learned my lesson
But I'm so messed up
(I can feel it, I can feel it in my bones)
I just want your touch
(I don't wanna, I don't wanna be alone)
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes
No I can't take this anymore
(I know I'm the problem)
I keep on coming back for more
('Cause you are a goddess)
But I'm so messed up
(I can feel it, I can feel it in my bones)
I just want your touch
(I don't wanna, I don't wanna be alone)
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can save you, if you let me try
I can see through all the bullshit lies
I won't let him take control inside
It's enough now, cause the
The devil is alone tonight
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes
I think I'ma stay for the night
Hope she doesn't take over my mind
Will I even make it out alive?
I can see the devil in her eyes

It may not be widely known yet, but Santa Claus himself also has magical powers, and in times of need, it is activated, (as is the case now, because there are no reindeer available).
How it works exactly is not entirely clear, but our photographer from the 'Origami Newspaper' was able to take a picture of it. Here we see a group of 4 Santa Clauses holding each other and then suddenly standing in the light. The energy comes from within and also indicates the direction that each person should take to get to the different places of the human world. Then they suddenly left like a flash of light. Maybe you'll see them tonight.

Nobody but me
I've got all my shit together
But nothing lasts forever
Until i find someone to share it with

Maple, (Acer), any of a large genus (about 200 species) of shrubs or trees in the family Sapindaceae, widely distributed in the North Temperate Zone but concentrated in China. Maples constitute one of the most important groups of ornamentals for planting in lawns, along streets, and in parks. They offer a great variety of form, size, and foliage; many display striking autumn colour. Several yield maple syrup, and some provide valuable, dense hard wood for furniture and other uses. All maples bear pairs of winged seeds, called samaras or keys. The leaves are arranged oppositely on twigs. Many maples have lobed leaves, but a few have leaves separated into leaflets.
East Lothian is one of my favourite destinations. I really enjoy being next to the sea and in the open space feeling the breeze and the salty air.
I haven’t been to Port Seton in very long time so I set out as the conditions looked favourable. Upon arrival though there was no colour to be seen and the tide was far too low for the shot I had in mind. I met another photographer as he was packing to leave but for some reason I decided to stick around. I am setting my camera up and I realise that my memory card has enough space for 12 more shots (but didn’t need even that). Just before sunset and through a crack on the clouds some beautiful golden light appeared. This shot is 87” out of probably 5’. Quickly as it appeared it was over. It was a very peaceful evening and not even the multiple road works on the way back managed to ruin it 😂.
Title is a word play from the poem of Jonathan Campbell “Darkness”.
As per usually I had a tune in mind when shooting. This time it was Moondust by Madis

Thank you for looking
I’ve posted his image before… but just re-worked another that I wanted to share along with the memory … Abraham lived in a residence for mentally disabled adults in a corner building by my last NYC apartment … each time I passed by his building he never failed to greet me with a warm and genuine smile …. followed by the the same “Hi …how are ya” …to begin the conversation …. that connection affected me so much so that I’d even walk out of my way sometimes for that extra long New York City block just to receive it …. and the day after I made this shot I was actually excited to bring him the print of the street portrait … I wasn’t sure how he’d respond … but happily his face gave off such a glee and surprise and joy … the memory of that reaction still satisfies and comforts me all these years later … I’m certain that Abraham didn’t have many worldly possesions … and also certain that he treasured that print as much as I treasured his reaction to receiving it …. it was my gift to him and equally his to me …. I miss that daily encounter … it remains one of my fondest NYC memories … and when I re-worked this image last nite it all came back to me with such strong and good emotion that I had to share it here … reminding again how much kindness and warmth and connection one to another can impact and affect the soul … I think …especially in these times … that’s not too bad a lesson to carry forward …
But where is our place in this immense harmony of creation?Nature is bigger than us.

The Saxton River bridge along Acheron Road. I never realized how fascinating bridges might be. Finding humour along our little adventure. Good ingenuity.

Anyone know what they are ... ?

Small but beautiful Komyo Falls is located at the base of Mt. Izumigatake , Sendai.
I visited there after so long.
I felt fear to encounter the bears.
This day the desire overcame the fear.
I took some photos and I got into the car quickly.
I introduce some aspects of the falls.
