Vintage View Camera lots of wear on this old camera I couldn't date it but probably around the 20's found in North Carolina.
Lovely and sunny, but the wind is freezing cold, even going out into the garden isn't that much fun. So I had a look inside instead.
While I was filling my mug with water for a cup of tea I noticed that the dog food tin that had been soaking had bubbles on the top. Don't know why as although I'd put some washing up liquid in it last night it's not normally still bubbly in the morning.
I turned on the strip light and took some photos and this was the one I liked best.

……Not a particularly good shot but interesting how far you can see from the top of Sale Fell - Solway Firth and Scotland off beyond, a stitch of two shots taken hand held on an enjoyable Fell walk. As for wind - there was plenty on top of Sale Fell so I’m sure it would be coming up the Firth!!! BTW, it's not as near as it looks - more than a stroll away which is what it looks😃 Mid point of the week and going well I hope, stay cosy & locked down to stay safe and to keep EVERYONE else safe too! A VERY BIG THANK YOU to ALL the key workers who are carrying on to benefit the rest of us - we applaud you all. Alan;-)👏👏👏👏👏

Australian made, but many decades apart, SSR101, 48s28 and S311 roll down the gentle grade toward Maldon, as some locals enjoy dinner. The train was off to Junee from memory for a quick load of about 15 wagons before returning to Sydney the next evening with the SSR only.

A small nameless deep-forest waterfall beckoned us with its rushing sound, and did not disappoint. Near Picton, South Island, New Zealand.
but still standing...
until we get around to having it cut down.
When we first moved in our house 30+ years ago, my boys would climb this tree... but what also added to its death was from my neighbors dreaded bamboo... we would put tons of salt down in that area trying to kill it.... but we killed our tree....
you can actually see the bamboo leaves on the top... ugh...
This roofless but otherwise largely intact chapel was probably originally erected in the 16th century, possibly by Bishop Vaughan (1509-22) on considerably earlier foundations, using some of the earlier structure's materials. Descriptions of the earlier structure suggest battlements, gables and a tower. The chapel's name derives from the legend that the 6th and 7th century Saint Justinian was buried there after he was murdered on Ramsey, where he was established for a time. The chapel was a place of pilgrimage for some centuries.
During his lifetime, Justinian was a confessor to St David and his bones are believed to now rest in St Davids Cathedral
very small but already confident, this Lion cub was resting on a gravel road in the western Grumeti sector of the Serengeti in Tanzania.
It belonged to a pride of 18 that we found at the edge of the park. There were 2 big males in the pride and quite a number of cubs of different ages
Many thanks for your views, favorites and supportive comments.

But I kinda like it. Not the best pic but a bit of fun :) There were a few people in this fantastic get up and just as we got near them they started walking towards us and I wasn't ready! Oh well, there's always next time!

"Looks like a girl, but she's a flame
So bright, she can burn your eyes
Better look the other way
You can try, but you′ll never forget her name
She's on top of the world
Hottest of the hottest girls, say
Oh, oh oh oh oh
We got our feet on the ground
And we′re burning it down
Oh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh
Got our head in the clouds
And we're not coming down"

But when I taste tequila, baby I still see ya
Cutting up the floor in a sorority T-Shirt
The same one you wore when we were
Sky high in Colorado, your lips pressed against the bottle
Swearing on a Bible, baby, I'd never leave ya
I remember how bad I need ya, when I taste tequila
When I taste tequila
same time, same place.. but suddenly another two guys popped up. I decided to capture this situation as well.
first multiplicity attempt. I´m not 100 % satisfied with this, but it´s ok for now.
This image was taken in late April but the days were already starting to last longer. As people or as photographers, we often believe it is too late or that we have missed our chance to get a great image, and that the day is over. But oftentimes, our day could have only just started. This was a special day in that I thought I had already seen all I could for the day, however, even though I was very tired, I walked to another location and I was then pleasantly surprised with this beautiful misty view. All days can be special but certain days are rare and very unique and we can only hope to be open minded enough when that day comes to enjoy it and take every opportunity to make the most of it.

The collared dove is such a familiar sight (and sound) very few people realize the species only came to these shores in the 1950s. Higly successful and a multi-breeder (3 to 6 times per year, if not more), they are now found in abundance everywhere there are humans. The distinctive red iris makes the dove particularly appealing up close.

A long time ago, my first camera, bad focal length, low quality definition, but I find these pictures of Ecuador still have a kind of charm.
Shot taken now at high altitude at almost 2000 m. in the Venetian pre-Alps from Monte Grappa unusually free of snow, but with a winter charm that always hits the mark.
A Tree Pipit about to feed its young near Charlton Abbots in the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire.
Thanks for your visit… Any comment you make on my photograph is greatly appreciated and encouraging! But please do not use this image without permission.
Not far from where we are staying is a little beach at a place called Bosta. It's one of those picture perfect Hebridean scenes that you see in magazines all the time and there was hardly a soul to be seen. Just for a short time, the sun peaked through the clouds and the sea lit up in that wonderful turquoise colour that you could mistake for being the Caribbean if it wasn't so incredibly cold! This is on the north west coast of Bernera just off the Isle of Lewis in Scotland.
But the fences in Stacksteads can hold it back!
Just up the lane from our house. Arctic Lancashire.

Whilst I was with a photography client, I took the opportunity to snap this image of some very interesting clouds over Bow Fiddle Rock, near Portknockie in Morayshire, Scotland. I have photographed the rock using this composition before but the clouds were just too good to ignore. Teaching landscape photography and editing is an awesome way to work. I cannot think of a better job. It gets you out and about in amazing places doing something that I really love.
But I am actually not a bear, I belong to my very own species that is not closely related to anybody.

Another 2014 shot, this one from March of that year. CP SD30C-ECO 5013 leads an IC&E SD40-2 and one of the last GP9s on the roster at that point, west at Cragin Junction on Chicago's west side with a manifest routed to Bensenville Yard via Tower A-5. It felt like the wrong leader at the time, but I'd certainly take it these days.
This image is of a little red dart frog. It is poisonous to touch and one is always cautious when photographing them . They are very small and some are no bigger than my thumb nail. they are really quite beautiful with their vibrant red coat and big black eyes. It is always exciting to see these little creatures in their natural habitat. This was taken on our lasted trip to Costa Rica. We took eight other photographers with us . It was great fun !
but you spend the last fifteen years on the toilet :-)

Not a good shot but it was so fabulous to view this evening. I took the photo with my cell through a dirty car window.
The sun was setting but we were also leaving the town of Leamington where the sky is usually lit up all night because of the acres of Greenhouses. Some of the growers use pink light and some use yellow light so the result is a cross between the two. sometimes very red and sometimes more of a burnt orange.
Take them off when you finish with Led Zeppelin Bernie.. .. ... and, don't think that means you can crank up AC/DC either......... what's wrong with some nice peaceful stuff? ....
Why does he have to be stuck in a time warp?...
