The Boss Lift program provides opportunities for employers to learn the benefits and challenges involved with employing National Guard and reserve members. Participants toured several training areas and got some hands-on experience in vehicle and flight simulators. Attendees also enjoyed an aerial tour of the surrounding area from aboard a Chinook helicopter. ESGR's Boss Lift highlights the value and skills military personnel bring to their civilian jobs and expresses gratitude to employers for their continued support of the military and National Guard and reserve members in the work force. Bill Feyrer was my boss in the early 1980s. He was a good guy and generous employer. We became friends through my flying activities and our shared interest in the outdoors and Vancouver Island trails. Bill did much for our community and employees. He and wife, Joan were good company to be with. RIP

This photo was taken directly after this guy declared that when he sits in this chair he feels like "the boss".
