More blocks for my quilt! I am still pretty new to sewing and quilting so for my first big (king size) quilt I did not want to make it so technical that I would stop working on it half way through construction.
All of the blues are done, still have the oranges, yellows and a few greens left to go!
Ughhh. Had a really hard time with this, could not understand the instructions, gave up and just did it my way. I really don't like this block at all. Sorry.

Caseros is one of the prettiest streets of San Telmo. The Guesthouse is one block away. Residential. Artsy. Quiet. Authentic.
I just finished knitting Christa Giles' Tilted Hat pattern. After soaking it, it's blocking over a dinner plate.

This block is for c_vantreeck who requested blue, red and cream.
The block is from a pattern by Rachel Griffith.
I had to unpick this block and change the dimensions of the middle piece to 3.25 inches. The first time I put it together, all the geese had a .25 inch lip and it would have ruined the points if I'd have squared it up. It was too big, finishing bigger than 8.5 inches. Even now, the block is still .25 inches too large. I like the pattern a lot and I may make a few more. I'm super excited to have learned the technique she taught!
One of downtown Orlando's oldest buildings, Bumby Block dates to 1886. Originally a hardware store, Bumby Block later became part of the Church Street Station complex.
