Fire Flag Plume Moth (Sphenarches anisodactylus (family Pterophoridae))
I had about five minutes to have a quick look in the garden today to see if I could find any insects. This Plume Moth flew in and landed right in front of me.
I went to Blade Runner for sightseeing.
It's a very nice place and you should press the shutter button too! ❤️❤️❤️

I miss them. Here's a westbound BNSF intermodal splitting the blades at milepost 192 on Montana Rail Link's 4th Subdivision.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to view, comment, and fave my photo. It’s really appreciated. 😊
A knife is any cutting edge or blade, handheld or otherwise, with or without a handle. Knives were used at least two-and-a-half million years ago, as evidenced by the Oldowan tools. Originally made of rock, flint, and obsidian; knives have evolved in construction as technology has with blades being made from bronze, copper, iron, steel, ceramics, and titanium. Every culture has a unique version of the knife. Due to its role as mankind's first tool, certain cultures have attached spiritual and religious significance to the knife including the La Hu Si{Knives 2008}
Most modern-day knives follow either a fixed-blade or a folding construction style, with blade patterns and styles as varied as their makers and countries of origin.

CN X311 with CN 2324 & CN 5787 for power rounds a curve on a fairly new section of CN's Montreal Sub as it approaches Turcot Ouest for a crew change. The train is carrying windmill blades, which are built by LM Wind Power Canada in Gaspé, Quebec.

Working the three mile-long, 1.6% uphill grade out of Nouvelle Ouest, three of SFG RS18-3 fleet were in the company notch, rolling 78 cars toward the CN interchange at Matapédia. Having departed New-Richmond in the morning, three BC Rail woodchip cars were added for the ride in order to expedite customer needs and cars rotation in this case the Lebel wood products lucrative contract of wood chips service between Nouvelle-Ouest and Rivière du Loup.
Shortline service at it's best !
Back in 2017, RS18-3 1819 was the first and only repainted unit of the fleet into the Southern Pacific Black Widow-inspired paint scheme. Trailing unit, SFG 1856 who's still in the iconic CP Rail Action red will follow 1819 into the paint shop in a couple of weeks.
Unit trains of windmill blades from LM Windpower were now sadly a memory, having ended back in 2020 after the four years contract ended. Blades built at LM Gaspé plant are now too long to be moved by railroad cars and now leave Québec province by boat.
The numerous grades and curves, notorious on the Cascapedia subdivision, will make the old girls puffing a bit but surely always gave a photographer some memorable chase like it was the case on that cold and windy winter day.

in addition to my keys, wallet, cell phone, watch and glasses, this is something else I always carry with me. It's a small pocket knife that belonged to my father.
