We danced too much this weekend so it was almost a relief when it finally came to an end so I could rest my feet. Still, I can't think of a better way to spend it than with my best friend, Pattie :)

São Martinho do Porto is a civil parish in Alcobaça Municipality, in Portugal.
It covers an area of 15.01 square kilometers and has a population of 2,644 (2001). It was a town and county seat until 1855.
It is situated on the Costa da Prata — Silver coast. The coast of central Portugal from Porto to Lisbon.
One can go right under the cliffs from the bay to the sea through this tunnel

After a long winter Full of bad news, the Covid pandemic Lockdown, self isolation, Mental health issues, I could go on.
It was a great to be able to look forward and get out with the camera and photograph one of my interests on my favourite heritage railways . The Severn Valley railway. .
I chose this as my Best shot of 2021 as it was a beautiful warm sunny spring day, at a superb Location and things were begining to look up as Covid vaccines were being rolled out across the world to combat the pandemic, and this was the first shot I took that I was fair pleased with.

On a more mundane level, this measures about 2 x 2 inches.
There's hardly any room for humans on our sofa since Henry and Ray have taken a liking to the furry cover on our sofa. It has not always been love, peace and harmony between Henry and Ray or the other cats. Ray is not yet aware that Henry has snuggled up to him.
this is lil miss Whitley Jade and lil miss Gracie lynn,,, they love playing together,, and i wanted to add this they are only 6 days apart....
I am sometimes amazed by the tender and loving behavior I have seen animals exhibit to each other. Obviously facial expressions don't work for most animals so it has to be behavioral. Here two Sitka Black-tailed bucks are nuzzling each other and obviously enjoying it at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The deer came here when they were found orphaned otherwise they would not have survived in the wild. It's interesting to see this behavior for these two bucks as they will fight each other for the ability to mate with does. So, maybe they are saying, "Forgive me for what I'm about to do to you?"

Both these impressive machines were voted as joint winners of 'Best in Show".
Both engines are John Fowler & Co built - on the left is 1917 Ploughing Engine No 14375, Reg BE 7548 and on the right is 1928 'Duke of York' No 17106, Reg KD 2826 - this machine worked for Marston Road Services in Liverpool.
