Mans Best Friend....I went for a walk to Harlaw Reservoir in the Pentland Hills regional park. As i was ambling around looking for photos I was aware of this man with his dog. The reason it caught my attention was that the man kept stopping every three or four hundred yards to allow the old dog to catch up. When it did, the man would pet the dog and talk to it for a few minutes. If you know Harlaw reservoir you will know the point where this image was taken. Its like an olympic medal podium. When the dog reached it he was like a puppy and jumped up to the top spot. The man sat next to the dog and again petted him and talked to him for longer this time. I got the impression they were best friends and were great company for each other.

Boulders Beach is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, from which the name originated. It is located on the Cape Peninsula, in Simon's Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is also commonly known as Boulders Bay. It is a popular tourist spot because of a colony of African penguins which settled there in 1982. Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National Park.
These African penguins are only found on the coastlines of Southern Africa (South Africa and Namibia). These penguins are currently endangered. As a result, the penguins are under the protection of the Cape Nature Conservation.
Although set in a residential area, it is one of the few sites where this vulnerable bird (Spheniscus demersus) can be observed at close range, wandering freely in a protected natural environment. From just two breeding pairs in 1982, the penguin colony has grown to about 3000 birds in recent years. This is partly due to the prohibition of commercial pelagic trawling in False Bay, which has increased the supply of sardines and anchovies, which form part of the penguins' diet. as well as the help from former SANDF naval officer, Van the Penguin Man
Bordered mainly by indigenous bush above the high-water mark on the one side, and the clear water of False Bay on the other, the area comprises several small sheltered bays, partially enclosed by granite boulders that are 540 million years old.
The most popular recreational spot is Boulders Beach, but the penguins are best viewed from Foxy Beach, where newly constructed boardwalks take visitors to within a few metres of the birds. It is also a famous swimming beach, although people are restricted to beaches adjacent to the penguin colony.
Why is there so much water in the sea?

Maura wrote in a lovely photobook she produced for me
" Paul always carries a lovely old fashioned red dress with light blue flowers in his rucksack "we never know , we may use it for projects", he says . In general the red dress is associated with happy projects, the ones he prefers. Maura running with joy on the sands of vast beaches, or happily jumping among mauve lavender fields. Sometimes Maura gets the permission of wearing it for expressing conceptual photographs of psychological complexes, which are her favourite ones . One day, on a large beach in North Portugal, she had her red dress on, but the incoming thick mist didn't inspire for happy projects. She just walked towards the surf in a natural way , holding a large sombrero hat that she had temporarily stolen from the host of the holiday apartment ,"

A marabou stork on Ndutu Lake can't complete for looks with her nearby glamorous flamingo neighbours, but she can still hold her head up and put her best foot forward. These are huge carrion-eating storks wth wingspans up to ~10 ft. Their featherless heads help them to stay cleaner when they are feasting on large corpses. Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania.

Bestes Abendlicht beleuchtete 1116 102 der ÖBB als sie mit einem gemischten Güterzug gen Nürnberg Rbf fuhr. Auf der Strecke Passau - Nürnberg sind die Lokomotiven der Baureihe 1016 und 1116 Dauergast. Inbesondere die Einzelwagenzüge zwischen Wien bzw. Linz und Nürnberg werden zu großen Teilen von dieser Baureihe bedient. Am 20. Juli 2021 hatte auch der Lokführer seinen Spaß als er bei Batzhausen mit seinem Zug auf die Speicherkarte wanderte.

ÖBB's 1116 102 was illuminated in the best evening light as it drove a mixed freight train towards Nuremberg marshalling yard. The locomotives of the 1016 and 1116 series are regular guests on the Passau - Nuremberg route. In particular, the mixed trains between Vienna or Linz and Nuremberg are largely served by this series. On July 20, 2021, the train driver also had fun when the camera was triggered with his train near Batzhausen.
