wow..the humidity here is at 100% and it is hot outdoors and in...wish we could send some moisture to the west coast of US and Canada where they are battling terrible forest fires.

Skagit last night....

Destiny took Best Junior Handler 2 out of 3 days. Dad yelled so load I thought we were at a football game.

Well, it's my best yet but it needs to be a lot better. It was overcast, windy and cool on Madison County Lake this morning. Not ideal photography weather but you take what you get. For those interested, you can see from the data the ISO is up there. Well, for a D7200. The new cameras probably wouldn't even break a sweat at ISO 5,000.

Yes, it's straight out of the camera. It's tempting to monkey around with it but it is what it is.

Done for Disney's Wonder Ground Gallery. Rapunzel's first moments out of the tower were probably awesome. So I wanted to try and capture that.

Hasselblad 500c/m or something more modern? Experimenting with the square.

Last update of 2018, so time for a collage of the best pics that I've posted over the last year.

There have been some pretty tough times for me in my real world in the last year, but thankfully things are starting to look up. My girl side is always a welcome distraction, and although I don't dress up as much as I used to, I still love having a girly day when I can.

What really has rejuvenated my girl side was starting to go out again after giving it a miss for over a year. A couple of fabulous nights out to BNO and a welcome return to Torture Garden have been truly amazing, and it's been great to catch up with so many old friends and making some lovely new friends on the way too.

Thank you again to everyone that leaves comments or favourites my pics, it really is appreciated :)

I'm really looking forward to 2019, and wishing you all a Happy New Year.

Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks is slipping towards the sun and there is only another two weeks or so to have a chance of good captures. The sky was pretty clear last night, although still with contrails and cirrus streaks. The so-called 'horned' tail can be discerned. This was a small stack of 12 frames, at 800 ISO and 40 seconds at 500mm.

These butterflies appear to be the easiest to photograph or maybe I'm getting more patient

Two of the best schemes (in my opinion) to ever adorn an EMD locomotive lead Q326 east around the curve near Fox. I sure took consists like these for granted!

This lookout over Lake MI is well loved and known by many. Scenic M22 is seen to the left. This is one of the prettiest areas in the mitten. After days of heavy clouds and snow, this view was even more special.

Between 2 & 300 of the statuettes in this yard. It was mind boggling.
