The word "禧" in Chinese culture means happiness. Usually people string this up with red cord to make best wishes for the ones they care and love :)
These are 2 of my best full, long skirts for the cooler months. One is made from a heavy denim, ghe other a heavy PVC like material. Both are magnificent to wear :-)

Views from inside Hearn. When they started demolishing this place internally, a bunch of these glass window blocks were knocked out. It's the best place to relax and actually has fresh air other than the roof.
This is the period in Toronto when everything started drastically changing and when so many places were empty or being gutted and demolished. There were so many places here to check out that people from all over the world were always coming here and you could meet up with them. It was nice! Now you need to go elsewhere to see great locations like Hearn.

Probably my best or maybe my second best from Sundays time travelling at least I look les uptight.
It was always going to be a worrying day out for me as I know what its like as a re enactor when you see someone with substandard kit or in my case a tranny. it kind of spoils the show and makes all the hard work the re enactor put in almost pointless. Ok it wasn't like that at last Sunday but those old ideas did play on my mind. Add to that setting up a tripod and camera with a timer while keeping an eye out people made for a stressful experience .
I still enjoyed myself just wished I smiled more
When I first thought about using this photo as a New Year's greeting, I had an accompanying text like: I wish everyone for 2025 a cheerful bird on their shoulder (or whatever form of happiness applies to you).
But then I realized that not everyone finds crows fantastic and intriguing creatures, but that people often see them as symbols of death. In that way, my well-intentioned wish could suddenly be seen as very cynical. As if I were wishing for all those terrible, senseless wars to continue.
So here: I wish everyone the strength to choose cooperation, forgiveness, and love over selfishness, revenge, and hate. And perhaps a cheerful bird on your shoulder ;)

Toen ik er eerst over dacht om deze foto te gebruiken als een nieuwjaarsgroet, dacht ik aan een begeleidende tekst als: Ik wens iedereen voor 2025 een vrolijke vogel op de schouder toe (of welke ander vorm van geluk dan ook voor jullie van toepassing is).
Maar daarna bedacht ik me dat niet iedereen kraaien fantastische en intrigerende wezens vindt, maar dat mensen ze ook vaak als symbolen van dood zien. Op die manier zou mijn goedbedoelde wens ineens als heel cynisch beschouwd kunnen worden. Alsof ik zou wensen dat al die vreselijke, zinloze oorlogen maar blijven voortduren.
Dus bij deze: ik wens iedereen de kracht toe om te kiezen voor samenwerking, vergevingsgezindheid en liefde in plaats van egoïsme, wraak en haat. En dan eventueel met een vrolijke vogel op je schouder ;)
