Photography is a great uniter of countries, cultures, neighborhoods, families and friends. I’ve started a group named Photo-Phactory. Please share your best images with me.
From my archives. A photo of two kids walking back to their tent after playing by the beach off East Coast Park Singapore.
The tree branch in the top of the picture was from the tree I was seeking shelter on when I took this shot. I was torn between removing or keeping it; I decided to keep it for brevity in post processing. =)
Bushwalk with my best buddies :)
Daily Dog Challenge: a must have
family, friends and a good walk, preferably in sunshine, like today :)
The sunset on this Saturday was one of the best ones in the last several years. It was perfect except that I hurt my right foot on slippery and sharp rocks while exploring the area.
I didn't do much of Photoshop here because I'm not a Photoshop guy and not good at it. The color itself was really amazing. I only increased +3 of saturation and adjusted a little bit of exposure in the foreground.
I hope you enjoy it.

... by a dam site.
It's actually a few miles from the dam but it has a dam(n) good reputation!
I'm not the best bird watcher but when I saw the eagle fly by, I ran to get my camera and was lucky enough to have the eagle land on a nearby island on a tree that I could see and was able to take some pictures before they decided to fly away
Finding unexpected places like this is the main reason why I love working on my Hidden Wales project so much. I discovered this gem after a conversation with a friendly local during my lunchbreak. He suggested that I should go and check out Mrs. Hughes' shed. I was knocking on her door within twenty minutes, enquiring if it was possible to have a look and take some pictures. When I walked in to the 'shed', I was stunned to find it was actually a 19th century watermill, with most of the machinery, tools and equipment intact. Even the thick, dusty, handwritten ledgers were still on the worktop. After work I returned to finish the shoot, with a sponge cake for Mrs.Hughes.
:Not my mug, but my husbands. Here's to all the amazing teachers out there, making it work for their kids. Getting lesson plans ready for them online, and putting in just as many hours at home as they do in the classroom.

Everyone thinks they have the best dog.
And none of them are wrong.

Bry and I spent 4 days down at the Best Friends Sanctuary outside Kanab, it was our first extended trip since the birth of our daughter in January. Needless to say we haven't really done much/any nightscape imaging for many months, I decided I coudln't pass up on the good weather we had one of the nights so I dragged myself out of bed around 1am and shot a pano in front of the cottage. Even with some light pollution from Kanab, just below the core area, the Sanctuary has very dark skies. This was also just the second time I've used my ZWO ASI2600mc Pro to do nightscape imaging, still working through the post processing workflow to refine all that since nobody else is really using those cameras for this purpose. I paired the camera with a Voigtlander 50mm APO along with a 3D printed adapter for the E-mount lens since ZWO doesn't make an adapter that allows those lenses to be used on their cameras. I need to dial in a little bit of tilt with the lens, but it's such a great lens it's hardly noticeable anyways.
All in all a great trip with the baby, hopefully Bry can get out and do some shooting during our next trip which will probably be Yellowstone in late June. Time flies with a baby, that's for sure.
35 exposures went into this pano, all 2 minutes at f2.2 and gain 100 on the ASI2600mc Pro with a Voigtlander 50mm APO lens, Fornax Lightrack II tracking mount.
“A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, big or small, young or old. He doesn't care if you're not smart, not popular, not a good joke-teller, not the best athlete, nor the best-looking person. To your dog, you are the greatest, the smartest, the nicest human being who was ever born. You are his friend and protector.”
