I know you all like the pale beach shots ( well, I like to think you do...), just wondering if I could do something a bit different....
Chris Adriaanse is young, but definitely has been around many blocks and many venues. I've seen him quite a lot this year. He plays occasionally with 'Happy Pals' at the venerable Grossman's Tavern. 'Happy Pals' plays in the Saturday afternoon since 1971, and would have an almost perfect uninterrupted record, if not the hit of pandemania. I have seen Chris first time in 2016 at Toronto Jazz Festival. With Benson Lee on banjo and Chuck Clarke drums.

The cliffside Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse in Acadia National Park, located in the village of Bass Harbor within Tremont, Maine in the United States, marks the entrance to Bass Harbor on the southwestern side of Mount Desert Island.
Tried to find a location with a good view of the rock. Came across some containers made into a cafe overlooking the rock. Which was about as close as I could get. So after taking a few images went inside to sample the coffee, in front of a large window overlooking the sea.
The Bass Rock marks the point where the North Sea meets the Firth of Forth

“Bass Brewery was founded in 1777 by William Bass in Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, England. The main brand was Bass Pale Ale, once the highest-selling beer in the UK. By 1877, Bass had become the largest brewery in the world, with an annual output of one million barrels. Its pale ale was exported throughout the British Empire, and the company's red triangle became the UK's first registered trade mark.
Bass took control of a number of other large breweries in the early 20th century. In the 1960s it merged with Charrington United Breweries to become the largest UK brewing company, Bass Charrington. The brewing operations of the company were bought by Interbrew (now Anheuser-Busch InBev) in 2000, while the retail side (hotels and pubs) was renamed Six Continents plc. Because at the time Interbrew controlled a large portion of the UK beer market, the Competition Commission instructed Interbrew to sell the Bass brewery along with certain brands to Coors (now Molson Coors), while retaining the rights to the Bass brand. In 2010, it was widely reported that AB-InBev was attempting to sell the rights to the Bass brand in the UK for around £10 million to £15 million.
In the UK, draught Bass (4.4% ABV) has been brewed under contract in Burton by Marston's (formerly a relatively minor competitor) for AB-InBev since 2005, while bottled products are brewed at AB-InBev's own brewery in Samlesbury, Lancashire, for export. Bass is also brewed locally in the United States and Belgium. Bass Ale is a top ten premium canned ale in the UK, with 16,080 hectolitres sold in 2010.”

Facing Bass Strait, Sorrento Back Beach is one of the most photogenic parts of the Mornington Peninsula. It is 62 km south of Melbourne and 8 km from Point Nepean at the end of the peninsula. The Sphinx Rock can be seen from a small rotunda called Coppin's Lookout.

Part of a series of the Bass Rock which sits in the Forth estuary in Scotland. My aim is to capture this rock in the myriad weather and natural conditions.
The rock seen through a break in the buildings at North Berwick harbour. It's like they have done this on purpose to allow a perfect view of the rock for those good folks walking the beach :)

IL TEMPIO OSSARIO.
Il Tempio Ossario di Bassano del Grappa è un grandioso edificio che svetta su Piazzale Cadorna, appena fuori dalle mura meridionali della cittadina veneta. Dall'esterno la costruzione possiede tutte le caratteristiche di un duomo in stile neogotico, con due campanili e una facciata decorata con diversi pinnacoli e rosoni. Una volta entrati invece è possibile rendere omaggio alle 5.405 salme risalenti alla Grande Guerra, traslate negli anni '30 dai numerosi cimiteri sparsi sulle pendici del Massiccio del Grappa.
Questo edificio avrebbe dovuto essere in realtà la nuova cattedrale della cittadina veneta. Nel 1908 le autorità laiche e religiose decisero di far partire i primi lavori che però si interruppero pochi anni dopo a causa della mancanza di soldi e dello scoppio del conflitto mondiale. Negli anni '20 la Curia vicentina e l'Alto commissariato del Governo decisero di riprendere i lavori convertendo però il progetto iniziale con un Tempio Ossario visto il grande numero di cimiteri militari sorti nella zona. L'architetto trevigiano Pietro del Fabro, che lavorò anche al Sacrario di Fagarè e in quello dello Stelvio, modificò alcuni aspetti architettonici mentre l'artista Tito Chini, ex soldato della Prima Armata e già all'opera nel Sacrario del Pasubio, affrescò gli interni.
L'inaugurazione avvenne il 13 maggio 1934 alla presenza del principe ereditario Umberto di Savoia.
