This is a basic arm bruise from blocking in Kung Fu. At any given time, I have various bruises of this type on my arms.
This is an example of a 'good' bruise, as it stays light red the first day (rather than darker red or dark brown) and will turn light brown before fading over three or four days. If it was a bad bruise, it'd swell up more, turn darker, expand from the original burise area, take longer to heal and turn green or yellow as it heals.
Cake dough? Isn't it supposed to be cake batter?
Maybe, but this actually is a very wet dough. A surplus of peeled and sliced gravenstein apples went on top and this not-too-sweet bready cake made a great snack.
