(Project 365 Day 82)
This is the ridiculously awesome backpack I got from work. It has 743 zipped pockets. It means I never have to be more than a wifi connection away from work! Yay! ;)
The event is called Backpack to Briefcase, which took place on Tuesday, April 14th in Latham Hall. This event was for graduating seniors to teach them about the world after college with topics including buying a car, 401ks, banking, buying a house, etc. Student walked around from table to table and spoke to each representative for about 10-15 minutes. Backpack to Briefcase was sponsored by Widener University's Career Services.
My 5.11 Tactical Rush 72 backpack, with a TADGear morale patch, and the very important tactical iPod pouch (also by TADGear, the OP-1).
Tactical shopping backpacks are nothing: At the EDCforum there's talk of tactical diaper bags (with optional MOPP-4 suit for changing diapers).
Backpacking trip to North Fork Big Pine Creek in the Eastern Sierras (between Lone Pine and Bishop, CA. Bryan, Doug, Kelly and Jeremy spent two nights at over 10,000 feet!

Haven't bought a new backpack... maybe ever in my adult life? But with a trip this weekend and more short trips in general, it seemed like it was warranted. I got the Herschel Mid-Volume accidentally--I'd intended to get the normal sized--but turns out this is really well proportioned to my frame.
BB said I look better with the backpack. I walk more naturally.
Looks not bad on photo I reckon.
what do you think? or better without backpack, better with handbag?

We found this backpack wrapped in a disintegrating tarp, hidden under conifers. It looked like it had been there for a year or more. Inside we found backpacking equipment: a rusted Whisperlite stove, cooking pot, swiss army knife and silverware, plus a soggy sleeping bag, long underwear, sweatpants and flip flops. We reported the find to rangers when we finished our trip. We are curious about the story behind it, but probably will never find out.
