One of a batch of six buses 562 - 567 (T562 BSS - T567 BSS), new in July 1999. Some subsequently transferred to "First Edinburgh/First Midland Bluebird". In 2001 all passed to First Manchester becoming 172 - 177 there (later becoming 60216 - 60221).

T563 BSS subsequently passed to Harrogate Coach Travel (Connexions buses), having been acquired from First West Yorkshire earlier in the year.

Upon disposal from the Arriva North West fleet, N104 YVU spent a very brief period within the Scottish fleet before the takeover by McGill's. It arrived with the fleetnumber 2004 which was already in use by the VDL Pulsars new in 2009, therefore quickly gained a new identity of 271. It is captured here in Partick whilst working an evening 17 to Johnstone.

Seen withdrawn at Bramley depot, 18/08/14.

UPDATE 18/03/15: 61069 was sold to Harrogate Coach Travel (Connexions Buses) back in late 2014/early 2015. Due to being stored outside at Bramley depot, the environment had taken a toll on 61069, and when sold to HCT, it was in such a state it was sent to Geoff Ripley scrappers shortly after arriving.

New to Rider York in 1996 with the Yorkshire Rider fleetnumber of 8414, Scania L113CRL Wright Axcess Ultralow N414 ENW has been round the block and back again having passed through at least 2 different Firstgroup fleets after leaving York in 2002 before being purchased by ConnexionsBuses, by this point it being the very last survivng member of the batch originally used on Park and Ride routes in a very attractive 2-tone blue colour scheme. With HCT aquiring route 13 in York after Firstgroup declared it would no longer be able to run it, there was a possibility of 8414 making the odd appearance on this fully-commercial route... and here leaving York rail station, and it used to do many years ago when running the White Line P&R route, 8414 makes tracks north for Haxby. At the end of the year, this is likely to head south where a former York manager has expressed an interest to preserve this.

To the right is the former AV 1, ex-Dublin Bus Volvo B7TL Alexander ALX400 00-D-40001, which became W116 GWC and is now LIB 806, running the racecourse shuttle service 197 by York Pullman. To the left is ex-Bradford B9TL Wright Eclipse Gemini YK57 EZW on the Yourbus 66 service.

Two consecutively numbered Scania L94/Wright Axcess floline's are seen here at Midland Bluebird's Balfron garage. Left is 65714 (SN54 KDX) in the original Barbie livery whilst 65713 (SN54 KDV) is on the right and has been repainted into the current First Olympia livery.

The second batch of buses delivered to First Aberdeen Ltd in corporate FirstGroup "Barbie" livery arrived in November 1998.

Nos 550 - 561 (S550 JSE - S561 JSE), operated just over three years in the Granite City before transferring elsewhere as they were to become non-standard types in what was to become a Volvo dominated fleet.

The first withdrawals occurred in March 2001 (551 - 554) and by July that year all twelve buses had gone.

Nos 550 - 559 became First Glasgow No 1 Ltd Nos SS163, SS154 - SS162 (later 61567 - 61576), and Nos 560 & 561 became First Manchester Ltd Nos 178 & 171 (later 60222 & 60215).

Another ex-First Scania L94UB Wright Axcess Floline in the ConnexionsBuses fleet, S574 TPW came from Eastern Counties (66574) and is heading along Knavesmire Road beside york racecourse running HCT service 21 to Colton and Bolton Percy. This has also been in the Northampton fleet... though the 'PW' registration suffix originates from South Wales, which means this bus does fit in with other vehicles which have been with Connexions in the past and have originated from Newport Transport. This particular bus is one of the lesser-papped members of the fleet, possibly because it normally runs on school duties in Harrogate.

Taken in Rotherham, prior to me delivering it to Rotherham Depot for repainting.
