A beautiful and blinding morning

The world outside begins to breathe

See clouds arriving without warning

I need you here to shelter me

And I know that only time will tell us how

To carry on without each other

So keep me awake to memorize you

Give me more time to feel this way

We can't stay like this forever

But I can have you next to me today

If I could make these moments endless

If I could stop the winds of change

If we just keep our eyes wide open

Then everything would stay the same

And I know that only time will tell me how

We'll carry on without each other

So keep me awake for every moment

Give us more time to be this way

We can't stay like this forever

But I can have you next to me today

We'll let tomorrow wait, you're here, right now, with me

All my fears just fall away, when you are all I see

We can't stay like this forever

But I have you here today

And I will remember

Oh I will remember

Remember all the love we shared today

Working nights, circus music plays when I close my eyes. The sun is out and the sky is blue. Do not sleep. Be productive. Be destructive, cause mayhem. Just do not sleep. Its such a nice day out.

For you were made to meet your maker.

Awake (Evergrey support), JB's Dudley

My cousin's precious new baby boy - about 4 weeks here. He would not close his little eyes, lol! But, I'm so happy to have gotten a few cute awake shots! His hair is the cutest thing ever :-)

12 degrees F... 4:30 am. Two streetlights at my back & to the left. Hand held, iso 400. A bit of noise. Dam, I've cut the very top of the gable off...but it fills the frame pretty well, and I like the overall effect...so that's it.

These buildings are collectively known as the " Lighthouse Block"--but not because of any association with the sea. The block is located at the top of a high, steep hill and in winter the upstairs lights could be seen from far away, guiding the drivers of the stagecoachs traveling along the Boston/Amherst Road. The block was built in the 1850's and many businesses have prospered here through the decades; today it hosts small cafes, shops and offices at street level and several apartments upstairs. The larger building, to the left, is yellow; the others are white; all have black shutters & roofs. They lean and settle into each other in an odd, precarious way, having survived countless bouts of remodeling and repair. As neon illuminates the empty sidewalk and bottles of spirits wink from behind plate glass, a tattered banner proclaiming "We Support Our Troops" hangs still above the cold shadows at the entrance of the old Town Hall.

This darkest, coldest hour is bound to end... and as the sky turns from black to deepest blue, swallowing the twinkling stars, a window brightens there, upstairs in the lighthouse block; a coffee shop urn flicks on, and a pair of long haulers, fully loaded, make the hill, creaking to a stop once again at the center of this crossroads town. The night becomes a memory... and a picture or two, and I'm headed for home.

How fickle my heart and how woozy my eyes

I struggle to find any truth in your lies

And now my heart stumbles on things I don't know

This weakness I feel I must finally show
