I purchased the Polaroid camera my grandparents had from a downsizing auction. I've used the camera before about 15 years ago and I wouldn't be surprised if this film is older than that. Not realizing there still was film in the camera, I asked my dad to snap a photo. Jordan is sitting in the chair, I am standing to her right, and we are sorting through other items bought from the auction.
In May, I spend a weekend in that city by the bay. Mostly staying and hanging out with Evan, a great friend from high school, as well as considering UC Berkeley for grad school. Also included: Oakland cafés, Palais des Beaux Arts, the Golden Gate, donuts and Chinese food, shiny tech start-ups, trips by BART, and the best weather I was told I would ever experience in San Francisco? It was beautiful, and I hope to be back very soon.
Wow! The usual pose of a koala is curled up asleep - but today I was lucky to get this beautiful young koala at a time when it was awake, active and eating!
I used to be able to go to Pound Bend, Warrandyte and see koalas in the wild, but due to the savage drought, I have not seen a koala for some time.
Here, I am at Healesville Sanctuary - fortunately and blessed to have escaped the clutches of the Victorian bushfires that so ravaged the state.
The fires came extremely close to the Sanctuary, but fortunately did not reach it.
