*SOLD* Vibrant colors on a metallic ground shake the slumber of night and excite the day ahead!

I think one of my hardest things as an attempting to become a professional photographer is that I don't care to do what everyone else is doing (besides talking family members into letting you practice on their dear precious newborns!). What I'm drawn too, what I love, isn't your cookie cutter photography that is all the rage right now. Most newborn photographers would've fought hard to get this girl to sleep and coaxed her into a cute knitted hat and an adorable pose...but that isn't who she is. She's awake...alert...checking out her world. Not that I dislike that kind of photography...I try for a shot or two for the mom...but I want real...it's what I love.

Godiva is a 33 feet high puppet which is travelling from Coventry to London as part of the Cultural Olympiad. When she arrived in Northampton she was presented with a bespoke pair of riding boots made by a local manufacturer - size 72! Unfortunately she was wearing a long skirt, which meant that we could only see a small part of them.

After receiving the boots on the Market Square she made her way around the town centre preceded by a motley crew made up of the Mayor, and some Councillors, corset wearing Morris Dancers, Belly Dancers, the 'Ministry of Cycles', and 'Wicker Maidens' - who I assume were the yong ladies bearing flowers.

WIDE AWAKE 2 - woke up with this in my head this morning. Six layers plus masks in Paint Shop Pro.

A colourful and vibrant piece of digital art which attempts to break all the rules. Intersecting lines of various colors create a complex, grid-like structure against a dark background. Vibrant hues of orange, yellow, and red blend with occasional blue and green accents, forming an energetic visual pattern. Created and processed in Paint Shop Pro.

Currently available as high quality wall-art at my website: tinyurl.com/3m92tufd

Mumford & Sons - Awake my soul

E come raggiungerli.

L'obiettivo di raggiungere i propri obiettivi.

Beh, nell'ultimo mese ne ho raggiunti tanti, o meglio ne ho raggiunti e superati alcuni.

E queste solo alcune cose.

LIVE CURIOUS!

This would be in what is now 1 Pace Plaza in downtown Manhattan; the Tribune building, which is where one Pace Plaza now stands, is visible to the left. The New York Times is across the street in the upper center of the photo.

The source gives no date or artist. As a poster shows Hamlin as Lincoln's running mate, this would have been prior to the 1860 election. There was a large march and rally of Wide-Awakes on October 3, 1860, and this may be an image of that march. See gathkinsons.net/sesqui/?p=1020.
